Chemical pregnancy or just pregnant - please help!

Morning,

I posted on here a few days ago and you ladies were really helpful (thanks again) so hopefully you'll be able to help again!

I'm TTC and last Wednesday had a very small amount of light pink blood on the tissue. This was accompanied by a cramp so I presumed (hoped) it could be implantation bleeding. I would have been roughly 11/12 dpo at this point.

On Thursday evening I took a first response test which gave a faint positive and then a Clear Blue test which said 'Pregnant 1-2 weeks'. Hooray!

However, Friday morning I took another Clear Blue test (just to be sure) but that came back 'not pregnant'. I then did a further Clear Blue digital test an hour later which said 'not pregnant' and a normal Clear Blue test the next day which was negative.

I posted all this on here and a few people suggested it could be a chemical pregnancy. Hugely disappointing but I accepted it for what it was.

However, I still haven't had any sort of blessing. My period would have been due on Sunday and it's also been 5 days since I did the first negative test. I do have cramping but no period as of yet.

Also, to further confuse things, this morning I did another cheap Super drug test which showed a faint positive.

Does anyone have any clue what's going on? Is it just a chemical pregnancy or is there a chance I actually am pregnant?

I'd just like to know either way - it's really confusing and frustrating. Any help anyone can offer would be hugely appreciated x

I would say it's 100% a chemical. Maybe when you got the first positive you urine was very concentrated. It's different for everyone. At the start I only got positives with evening urine!! I would suggest getting bloods drawn and the doctor will know by the Hcg levels.

Haha unfortunate mistake! Thanks very much for your comment. I think that's a good idea and I'll definitely be giving them a ring if my period doesn't show up soon. Thank you :)

No probs. I was due af on Friday and done a clear blue and got 1-2 weeks. All normal pregnancy tests have been faint since but doc confirmed it yesterday! I would put money on saying you are pregnant!

Tests are funny especially in the early stages, like others have said get your GP to take a blood draw.

Just realised I put blessing in my original post rather than bleeding! It would not be a blessing Blush thanks haveacupoftea - I think you were one of the lovely lot who responded to me before so thanks for taking the time to reply again. I've never used mumsnet to post myself before until this, but it's actually really nice to get advice from others Smile

Get your blood tested by a doctor, that way you can be sure of the result.

As others have said give it a few more days then call your gp. Clearblue digis are not very sensitive so ditch them and do a different test! Lots of people get differing results with them. A few weeks ago I got 2-3 weeks on one and then next day went for an early scan (due to pain) and there was a baby with a heartbeat in there already and my hcg through bloodtest was very high to only be getting a 2-3! I think it says somewhere they are 60-something% accurate with FMU. Fx for you :).
