Negative test

I was due on Friday 30th - nearly 2 weeks ago. I've taken several tests of different brands from clear blue, early detection and the cheap pound land ones - all negative! I went to doctors and they done a blood test, also negative. I have symptoms of being pregnant, feeling slightly sick (not physically been sick), heartburn, more acne than the normal spot here and there, bloating of the stomach constantly, headaches, tiredness. But everything is negative - doctors advised to leave it a week and test again (due to test on Monday) - not suffered any stress to cause period being late - normally on time with being late by 1-2 days max ! Anyone gone through anything like this and can advise whether they were or weren't pregnant ?!
Wish I could either just come on or show up, I'm being so cautious no drinking excessively and got a lot of family events coming up....

I had some random late periods when we were trying, drove me nuts. Don't underestimate the power of stress on your monthly cycle. You may not feel it but the fact you're worrying about it, having tests and getting frustrated can all impact what's going on down there.

When me and my husband were trying I had a couple of months of being late and no pregnancy, one month in particular I did have similar pregnancy symptoms, sickness, fatigue etc and no pregnancy. The best advice I can give is try not to stress, the month we decided not to try and have a break from the stress of getting pregnant was the month we ended up conceiving! I've never felt more stressed and under pressure as when we were trying for a baby, it's amazing the effect that can have on the body! Big hugs and hope all goes well xx

It's not that I'm worried - it's more that's I've my coming on and negative tests so I am unsure what's actually happening - I've always said to my other half about 5-6 months ago I'll come off the pill and when it happens it happens... It's so unlike me to be late by longer than a day or 2 - let alone it being 2 weeks tomorrow - I guess time will tell :)

You will know soon enough I'm sure, the waiting is the worst and I have the greatest sympathy for you, just keep yourself busy and try not to focus on it for now. I've got my fingers crossed for you

Ive been through this and i dont think it is particularly helpful when people say their hairdressers friends sister never got a bfp until 20 weeks or whatever. If it looks like a BFN, it's almost certainly a BFN. You have likely just not ovulated this cycle...it happens. It really really sucks but it happens. I hope i am wrong and you do end up pregnant but it is unlikely.

I'll do another test Monday like the doctor suggested, as even she doesn't know what is going on - if that comes back negative I'll just wait 2 weeks or so to see if I come on... I shall update you guys

I had exactly the same story, with very strong pregnancy symptoms (lots of creamy discharge, sore boobs, vivid dreams etc), I wasn't pregnant, I missed one period completely and then the one after did arrive, but it was late, lasted ten days and was very heavy. My periods are like clockwork, I was not stressed and I am in good health. The doctor thought it was stress, but I have never felt like that before or since, and I don't think I was stressed.

For what it's wirth I didn't have any pregnancy symptoms until I was 9 weeks pregnant. Our bodies can be cruel. X

Boobs aren't sore just heavier - thank you for your response, i think it's just a waiting game - either my period will come or it will come up on a test... I guess only time will tell now :)

Still nothing as of yet - there was a faint line on a test this morning but after 5mins it disappeared ?!

Will leave it a couple days and do another test - my next period is due this Friday ...

So we shall see...

Me and my hubby were trying since last Christmas, the period before we fell pregnant was 2 weeks late, had gone the doctors & spent a fortune on sticks! I was usually only a day or two late max so sort of got my hopes up, but then AF arrived. The month after was our lucky month though!

At the moment still nothing, I was due 30sept and due again Friday - so we shall see :) it's been a long waiting game though 😂
