Pregnancy

should I trust my instinct

I'm 30w2d and since the beginning of the pregnancy I've had this weird feeling that baby is going to come early. The feeling is really strong and has never gone away. Apart from cramps every now and then I don't have any signs of labour it's just a gut instinct. Has anyone else ever felt like this and we're right??

I was convinced our baby was going to be early. I had no reason to be so sure but I made sure I was ready a while ago. I'm now 40+4 and she's still keeping us waiting...Your baby will just come when she's ready, there's really no way to know even if you do get the feeling

I think everyone I've ever met has felt their baby was going to come early. I know two people with 30 weekers and they didn't suspect a thing. You really can't tell.

I had a stupid little fantasy going round my head throughout pregnancy that the baby would come on NYE at midnight. She did come on NYE but at 9pm at 35+5. She had to spend a week in SCBU. Then I was driving myself mad with guilt thinking I'd somehow willed her to arrive early. It's all bollocks, they come when they come.

My instinct tells me I will go into labour quickly and when I'm alone and have no time to get to my phone and be crippled in pain on my bedroom flooring and my partner will come home from work to me holding this little baby!! But I think it's more of a fear than anything and I'm not believing in it

I think lots of people think like that. ive had 4 babies and hoped they would come a week or two early and was convinced they would. They all came after their due dates though

I think a lot of people think this way. I think it's thinly veiled wishful thinking. Dd1 was born at 40+13. I'm now 36+3 and was up all night with mild cramps but this one will probably also be late!

I was at risk of term labour to the point that I had steroid injections at 24 weeks. My instinct told me I'd pop at around 37 weeks, it was a feeling all the way along this particular date, I went to 40+5, sorry
