How to meet other local mums with 2nd DC?

Last time I did NCT and it was great to have a group of babies all of similar ages. Felt like we all really supported each other and their a lovely group of mums. This time I don't know anyone else with a baby due and feel like I'm going to feel really lonely on maternity leave. They don't do NCT refreshers here I've looked on the website. What else can I do to meet other mums during pregnancy? Also what about after the birth? A lot of the classes aren't suitable for a newborn and older siblings (baby massage, baby sensory, baby sign, swimming etc). So how do you get out and meet other mums with a newborn and a toddler? Any suggestions greatly welcomed!

Where abouts are you? I'm in totally the same boat. 39 weeks and dragging myself to stay and play etc now I've finished work to try and make some mum friends!!!

I loved last mat leave mostly as had lots of nct friends for sunny park days and pub lunches.. Then they all went back to work full time and i got pregnant again. Ive really missed having friends to hang out with this summer, chatting to strangers in the playground is good but hard to get to know people really. Im expecting second in 2 months and really want some friends to share the ups and downs with over the winter. Ive been using an app called Mush , and tho it feels a bit cheesy ive really enjoyed meeting other mums with toddlers and also few who are in the same boat of expecting a second. Really recomend giving it a try!

We've found a few classes near us that are suitable for both but also my eldest goes to nursery for a day a week so we have mummy baby time.
The class we go to every week with both dc is little notes. They are quite new so don't know if they have one near you. Worth a look though!

Thanks everyone. I feel a bit better knowing it's not just me feeling like this. I'm about to have a look for the app 'mush' and I'll see about little notes there's playgroups too and also I'll only need 2 or 3 groups a week as it'll be hard to get 2 out of the house anyway
