Hi all. As the title says really I've been having tightenings and painful back aches this is my fourth pregnancy but second child so am aware I can be paranoid.. Don't remember having Braxton hicks with my first until much later- anyone else in the same boat?

I did with my third but it really settled down when he changed position. I remember it well as I was on a beach holiday with the older dc and I was incredibly uncomfortable, needing a wee every twenty minutes and having painful BH everytime I walked up the beach to the loo.

He flipped over as we were driving home from the beach on the last day, I felt him do it. I was much more comfortable after that.

Thanks that makes a lot of sense! She is much more lively than my first already (from what I remember) she's constantly kicking away and have seen her try to do flips on our scans Grin thanks for the response X

Morning Sunshine, I think Braxton Hicks are often earlier and a bit stronger with each pregnancy. I'm 28 weeks with number two and have had them for a good while - a very lively baby too! However keep an eye on them and if they become regular or really uncomfortable then ring or pop down to triage and let them check you out to be on the safe side. Or if you have any spotting or fluid leaking then please just go straight in. Take care.

So sorry for your losses, Sunshine, I think it's natural to have lots of worries when you've had a difficult journey to pregnancy. I'm extra cautious too as I had a tough first pregnancy (and again now) and think it's always best to trust your instinct and get checked if you feel worried. After all, the only thing that really matters is that you and baby are safe and well. Take care, lovely, and keep hydrated and rest up as much as you can.
