Did you get pregnant from taking Clomid when you were already ovulating?

My day 21 test showed I'm ovulating as do two months of temping but I've never got a BFP after 17 cycles. DH has low morphology. While we wait for IVF/ICSI, we've been given clomid just to bump our chances a bit. Did this work for you? Hoping we might be able to get a natural BFP by releasing an extra egg or two and increasing our odds! Also does anyone think a private round of IUI is worth trying before our IVF? NHS consultant said they don't bother anymore as low success rates.
Thank you.

Hi, I fell pregnant on my second month taking Clomid after fertility tests showed
I ovulated occasionally and dh had low morphology so the Clomid definitely helped me! Currently 9 weeks pregnant now!
Good luck Xxx

They offered it to me for the same reasons, I didn't take it and privately funded a round of icsi instead. As part of this it turned out I have very low AMH which made me glad I didn't pop out my few good eggs on the unlikely chance DH sperm would have caught them. I've no idea if that's even the case but it's what I thought. Have they checked your AMH?

I fell pregnant 2nd cycle of clomid 50mg & metformin 500mg.
I believe I ovulated without clomid as had pain, ewcm etc but it was only with medication I actually got positive Opk. Currently 7 weeks.

My first pregnancy was straight after HSG dye test so unless it induced ovulation this also makes me believe I was ovulating albeit irregularly with PCOS.

I stopped taking clomid after the first two cycles. (It turned my brain to complete mush...and when I'm taking the tablets, I feel really unbalanced.)
I ovulated fine and DH had no issues, but I think it was my GP's first idea.
Didn't get pregnant with it. Ovulating wasn't the problem...my tubes were.

I did get pregnant the month after my laparoscopy and them putting dye through my tubes to check whether they are blocked. Seemed to have cleared enough of the blockage in one of them to avoid the egg getting stuck this time round. Grin I'm nearly 31 weeks...

I conceived on my first round if clomid after 21 months. My tests showed I was ovulating and due to my age our fertility doctor said we should go straight to ivf but we wanted to give clomid a try first. Dd is now 8 months old Smile x

I don't know why I missed the updates on this thread but wow - some amazing stories here giving me hope. Thanks so much! Reassuring to know it could work.
I'm cd10 having taken my first 50mg cycle. Looking forward to my scan on Saturday to find out if it's done anything! Desperately hoping I'll be like you ladies and it'll do the trick before we go to IVF with ICSI. Crossing my fingers!

Babyhamish - not sure if you'll see this but what was your OHs morphology and had you done anything to try and improve it prior to taking the clomid? My DH is doing proxeed following SAs with Create and Dr Ramsay showed his is between 1-3%. Thanks.

Hi geeup
His morphology was 1.5% on first test we had. Didn't do anything other than try and look after himself diet excercise etc. It was 4% on 2nd test and count was very high! It all confused me to be honest so I just kinda went with what they said!
Good luck! Xxx

Thanks both. Really good to hear from you. Feeling positive today and looking forward to some DTD-ing with a marginally better chance! Will keep this thread posted, hopefully with another success story (you never know).
