Pregnancy

How early do you start showing?

Hi, this is my first question! :)

I am 20 and this is my first pregnancy. Me and my boyfriend are very excited.

I was very curious to find out what stage of pregnancy people noticed their tummies had started to get a little bigger? I am about 11 weeks now and I had already noticed my stomach has grown quite a lot very quickly.

I understand that when people have had babies before they may start showing quite early but this is my first pregnancy so I was unsure if it was normal for me to be showing as much as I am this early.

I haven't had my first scan yet so I might find out I am actually further along.

I was about 24 weeks with my first before I got a bump rather Tha looking fat lol! I looked pregnant early on but it was bloat! I'm 21 weeks now with my second and I am showing but it looks more like I have had one too many pies!! Again I had a bump early on as I bloated up again! Congrats 😊

Congratulations!

I showed very early with my 1st, probably from about 8 weeks. It was very hard to hide it! I was convinced it was twins but no, just a lot of water!

I'm now 9 weeks with my 2nd and looking very pregnant already... again!

I'm 41, 2nd pregnancy but lost the first at 10.5 weeks.
I usually have a flat stomach and i have a slight bump now at nearly 12 weeks. It's noticeable to me, but to everyone else probably looks like I've had a bit meal!
Congratulaions by the way.

I think I am showing just now at 20 weeks but people think I am not. I am tall. Are you expecting 1 or 2? I think depends so much on the person and it is all good Smile

If your stomach is already growing quite quickly as a 20 year old with your first, I would suspect you are further along than you think (or it could be twins).

At 12 weeks with first pregnancies, I think it's normal for you to have grown a bit such that you notice and jeans stop fitting but I think it's unusual to have a bump such that others can see it.

With both of my pregnancies, it wasn't really until about 20 weeks that I had a bump such that anyone else might notice it. And, actually, I'm about to go on mat leave at 36 weeks and some of my colleagues have been surprised that I was pregnant... I think some people are crazy unobservant, though...

I would suggest any "bump" before 12 weeks is hormonal bloat! I looked pregnant and bloaty until about 14 weeks with both of mine, and then it just disappeared. With my Dd I didn't "show" properly until 24/25 weeks, and at about 18 weeks with this baby. I'm 35 weeks now and feeling rather rotund Blush

About 14-16 weeks with my first. With 2nd and 3rd (and pregnancy in between which I miscarried) I had to wear maternity clothes from 8 weeks because nothing fitted!

I'm currently 39wks with my first.

By 12 weeks I was definitely thicker around the middle. Not a 'bump' per se, but a lack of contour when previously I'd had a relatively defined waist.

I also started really bloating in the evening at 12 weeks, so I felt enormous, though it was largely water and air.

I had a definite baby bump at 16 weeks.

I think a lot depends on your pre pregnancy size and shape - I was a curvy 14/16 (big boobs and hips, smallish waist and shoulders) in sure it would have shown earlier if I was a size 10.

Congratulations!!

I had a bloat bump from about 4-12 weeks before it went down slightly. I'd say it was about 16-18 weeks that I could see a proper bump appearing without clothes and probably about 22 weeks when other people started noticing. By 26 weeks it was very obvious to everyone.

I'm 6 weeks and nothing yet. 3rd baby. I get a bit bloated but no bump. I didn't show whiles 18 weeks with first 2. I was a size 16 aswell at the time but I never had a big bump really.

It will be bloat. I looked more pregnant at 11 weeks than I did at 18 weeks. My belly was flat until probably 16 weeks, I was getting thicker around the waist at 20 weeks and by 24/25 weeks it was an obvious small bump

Now 32 weeks and look like a beached walrus trying to get out of bed. Pre pregnancy I was a size 8/10.

Congratulations Smile

With my 1st my belly grew really quickly from 8weeks. It then slowed down around 16 weeks then I ''popped'' again about 24 weeks.
It has been the same in every subsequent pregnancy after. I'm currently 22 weeks and I'm already sick of the 'are you sure it's not twins' and 'that's one big baby' comments. Bore off haha

I'm 35 weeks with DC2, and feel like an upturned turtle if I sit too far back on the sofa and then try to get up Blush

I'm 17 weeks (dc1) and feeling like I'm showing, but I don't think anyone else can see (or they're just polite?) Clothes are definitely fitting differently.

I'm currently pregnant with my first and I definitely had a noticeable bump before 12 weeks. And by noticeable I mean we didn't tell anyone until after 12 week scan and was informed by a number of people that they had suspected because they had spotted a bump.

My clothes started to feel snug from around 10 weeks but it just looked lie I had eaten too much! I'm 18+5 and I've got more of a bump now. This is my first pregnancy
