Missed 28 week appointment with midwife.

I last saw my midwife at 16 weeks, whilst there she booked in my next appointment. I checked my notes a couple of weeks or so after my 20 week scan to see the date of this apt and noticed that she'd written "see next at 24/40" with the date 19/9/16.
I knew by then I would be well past the 24 weeks she had written, but also that as this isn't my first pregnancy, I would be seen at 28 weeks (which fit with the date she'd written) I decided to text her anyway and just point out the mistake and to make sure that the apt on the 29th was correct. I didn't get a reply, so text her the following friday (she only has her mobile in use on that day) and called but it went straight to voicemail. I turned up to the apt like I was supposed to & after waiting half an hour it was apparent she wasn't there, so I left. I then phoned the number for my maternity unit in my notes who forwarded me to the maternity unit she works from & they said they would leave a message for her (that was monday after the missed apt) I then tried her direct contact number on friday again, which was off, so phoned the unit again who said they would leave a message for her.
My pregnancy has been/is straight forward, but I'm aware at the 28week apt I should have my urine, bp and fundal height checked as well as bloods taken. I'm now 29 weeks and have no clue when I will next see my mw and can't even seem to contact her. I don't want to cause a fuss though.
I was thinking of waiting til wednesday and phoning back the maternity unit, or am I being too pushy?

I think you should keep calling, why can't someone else book you an appointment?

Sorry that was vague, surely another midwif. Or receptionist could look at her diary.

I've called twice already, one lady did mention she hadn't seen her at the unit and asked if I'd tried her direct number, I said I had for three weeks running (on a friday) she said there was nothing written in her diary regarding appointments.
It's just if I ring back wednesday I'm likely going to have to tell them I've been waiting for over a week and want an appointment, doesn't that sound pushy?

It's OK to be pushy! Those are vital things you need checked and they're done at that time for a certain reason (I assume). The important thing is that you have them done, not which midwife does it so def call them on Monday and try and get an appointment for this week.

I would call your gp surgery that the midwife is attached to and either get them to sort it or arrange for the gp to do your antenatal check
