TMI poo problem :(

So sorry for being so graphic, but I'm worried!
I'm 34 weeks pg with DC2, and am having some horrible "poo issues" Blush
I've been eating and drinking as normal, haven't eaten anything dodgy, and don't feel ill at all, but for the last couple of days, I've been getting horrible stomach cramps, and then the immediate urge to go to the toilet - literally as soon as I feel it, I have to go!
And then when I do "go", it's either explosive gas and liquid, or just liquid without the gas Blush and it really smells awful.
I can't think of why this is happening, but it's worrying me a bit, as I suffered with explosive diarrhoea in the days before Dd was born at 38 weeks Confused

Can sometimes be the bodies way of clearing out before baby comes. This can be a few days to a few weeks before delivery. If you feel well otherwise just watch for signs of labour

Myname that's what's worrying me Confused
Surely I can't have diarrhoea for another 3-6+ weeks?!!

Likely a few days to 2 weeks if I had to guess. Hopefully you will go over 35 week mark.

Afresh I called her and couldn't get through.....which is no change from normal - I can never ever get through. It just rings constantly until it goes to answer phone and no one ever returns messages.
The consistency of this is definitely not my normal! It's completely liquid Sad Haven't had any more "glitter" in my vision, but have a headache....although that could be because I've been watching to withkht my glasses on! DH retrieved them from the car for me so I've put them on to see if that eases the headache!

Perhaps call the hospital and see about getting checked over. Better safe than sorry and all that!

Report
MyBreadIsEggy · 23/09/2016 19:07

Headache has started to subside since I put my glasses on and I guess that would explain the spotty vision Blush So I'm no longer freaking out about pre-eclampsia Hmm
But if I still have unexplainable trots tomorrow, then I'll definitely get checked out.

Please please go in and get checked.

My midwife used to spend every meeting with 'if in doubt, check it out'.

Midwives and delivery units would much rather check you. Please please go. I beg of you.

Sounds like a tummy bug to mr, to be honest. I had it recently Sad

Cramping last night, barely slept. And (TMI ALERT!)....just completely liquid diarrhoea this morning. I don't think it's a tummy bug because I don't feel ill or sick!

That doesn't sound pleasant! Try your midwife again - perhaps even phone the labour ward if you're very worried. Is the baby movement still ok?! If it is s stomach bug it may be worth getting advice to check the baby isn't going to suffer problems too ~ thus is just my opinion by the way nothing medical background so don't panic!!

Hopefully they get back in touch soon

How are you feeling now except for the toilet issues?

Report
MyBreadIsEggy · 24/09/2016 10:54

AFresh
I still don't feel remotely ill!! No temperature, no vomiting, no nausea.
I'm pretty sure the headache and dodgy vision yesterday was just because I haven't been wearing my glasses as often as I should, because within half an hour of putting them on, my headache was gone Blush
Have had 2 episodes of diarrhoea this morning, and it is entirely liquid Confused feels like doing a wee from the back instead of the front Blush
