Bleeding - still pregnant?

Has anyone had a period like bleed before a BFP and gone on to get a BFP in the same cycle?

I haven't been TTC but have been strongly suspecting I'm pregnant since I missed my pill for a few days at the beginning of the month.

I've had quite a few symptoms, similar to those I had with my DD who is 1 now. I also noticed about 5 days ago some very light brownish blood just for that day, and thought it might have implantation bleeding. I also had cramps for a few days after that with no blood.

I tested yesterday morning and got what I thought could possibly be a very faint positive on a not very sensitive test (shouldn't have been testing so early I know!) but late last night when I went for a wee I wiped and there was blood :/

At first I just kind of accepted that I've got my period and am not pregnant, but I still just feel so off. I thought my symptoms were getting worse, was nauseous and tired yesterday, slightly prickly boobs but not as intense as my first, although that could have been further along.. Also my period doesn't feel like a normal period at all, I have no cramps and TMI but even the blood seems different. Do you think I could be pregnant? I don't want to test too early and get a false negative, I've been agonising over this for a week now and it's really driving me crazy, I need to know definitively :)

Also forgot to mention, I annoyingly don't remember when my last period was, had so much going on this month with DD's 1st birthday, moving house etc..
