Worried feeling foetal kicks

I have a 7 month old baby and for the last two weeks I have been feeling the sensation of small kicks in my abdomen, similar to early in my first pregnancy. I'm really frightened I might be pregnant, I had a severe episode of post natal depression after birth last time and have only just recovered. I have been taking the pill and sometimes I have bled at funny times during the pack but not always in the pill break. I haven't noticed any other symptoms. Has anyone experienced this and not been pregnant? Is there another explanation? I am on holiday and havent taken a test yet because I don't want my husband to get to know about it yet and I'm with him 24/7 at the mo

I also have a 7mo and I have felt what I can only describe as "phantom" kicks... I've never asked anyone about it though.

I'm definitely not pregnant. The only way to be sure is to POAS though.

I had a nerve once in my abdomen for a couple of days that would twitch and felt just like kicks. To be sure POAS, but try not to worry too much right now.

I had this too, and still do. My DD is 15 months old and I'm definitely not pregnant. I think it's quite normal but you could always do a test to be sure x

I had phantom kicks occasionally too, despite definitely not being pregnant. Don't know what caused them.

But the only way to be sure is to do a test.

I still get this, and my DS is 7 years old.

I think you just notice wind in a way you never did before after you've had a baby, and it can be really surprisingly strong.

Why don't you want to tell DH?

Thank you I never knew about phantom kicks. I'm sure it will be that as I have been taking the pill for several months now. And because I was so ill after birth my husband would definitely be very worried if I were to be pregnant, we have already agreed that we may not have any more children in future because we have been advised that it is almost certain that I will become severely unwell again next time
