My cat is acting weird

I have a little kitten and usually she is the most hyper, energetic, crazy little thing ever but today and yesterday she is actin weird with me.

Last night she let me hold her and fell asleep in my arms but when I had to move she wouldn't let my partner touch her even though he's usually her favourite

Today she's still being really manic but whenever she's with me she starts purring and pawing at me. And I am naked in bed and she started to suckle on my nipple (the most weird experience of my life I must say)

I'm confused as to why she's suddenly treating me a bit like a mother cat

Is there a reason you posted this on the pregnancy board? You don't mention any link...

Ah, that makes more sense. From what I've heard cats can pick up on it, they are much more sensitive to smells and hormones, so she might be trying to protect you. How far along are you?

Have never been pregnant but I have read that some people realise they are pregnant because their cat starts acting strange around them

My cat Stanley is 7 and has spent the most time with me, glued to my side, when pg with DD who's now 3 and whilst pg again (currently 17 weeks). From a few weeks in it's as if he just 'knows' and becomes all soppy. He's lovely company while I'm in bed suffering with tiredness and morning sickness, and I'm making the most of the extra attention while it lasts, because I know that as soon as lo is born he'll be all elusive again Hmm Grin

Stanley has a brother who doesn't seem to give a damn btw

My cats will not leave my side, I'm 22 weeks pregnant and they love curling up on my lap around my bump, they're both female so probably feeling a bit maternal?

My sister's cat was the same with me - even from early days I'd only gotten my BFP the week before and when I was over all she wanted to do was sit on my lap and no one else's when normally she would be on my sister or her OH's lap.

I have six of the buggers, when pregnant with DS the mother cat who was usually snotty decided she loved cuddles and one of the kittens attached herself to my bump.

DS is 6months now and that kitten who is now almost one, has glued herself to him since the moment he was born and brought home Grin

Yup, some cats do know when you are pg (some are so stupid - like one of mine - they have no idea)
