Hi

I am currently 8 weeks pregnant following IVF and have just found out its identical twins.
Just wondering if there is anyone else out there in the same position (IVF or not) who'd like to share this journey?

Thank you both.

Red that's good to hear, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment. And very sick.

Congratulations.
I am 8 weeks too and keep wondering if there's twins in there as I have a bump already
(Didn't show until 20 weeks with other 2 pregnancies)
Good luck with your journey, identical twins must be lovely xx

Congratulations! I am 14 weeks and carrying (non identical) twins. We didn't find out though until the 12 week scan and it was a big shock! I already have a nice little bump. To be told I am having twins explained nicely why I felt so ill for those first 3 months! It's getting much better now so just try and ride it out, I did have to ask for help around 7 and a half weeks as I was getting dehydrated and my GP prescribed Phenergan which really helped so if you are really struggling, go and see your GP. Flowers congrats again Smile

Minty - thank you. I keep thinking 'I'm only 8 weeks, surely I don't need drugs already?' Nice to hear I'm not alone.
Congratulations on your twins too, will you find out the sexes?

Unicorn - could be, I fed don't have a bump yet though!

Sammy I thought that too! But some days I literally couldn't get out of bed and poor DP had to carry me to the bathroom and so on Blush. I felt like I was dying! See how you get on for the next week or so but if you struggle to get fluids down, do consider asking for help. I was near to being admitted for IV fluids so I was grateful for the medication!

We originally (when we thought we were having just the one!) said we wouldn't find out the sex but we have since had tests for twin 2 who is high risk due to a slight increased nuchal fold and I think we now will find out, although not until the 20 week scan I don't think. Will you be finding out? My friends have been studying my scan pictures and applying their theories and reckon it's twin girls based on the shape of the foreheads, but I have no idea!

Congratulations April! Smile Are you having trouble sleeping??

Congratulations to you too minty. Yeah it's takes me a while to get comfy now between hip pain and breathlessness although when I finally get to sleep its okay. I'm up probably 4/5 times during the night either to roll over or go to the toilet. Keep telling myself it's all in preparation for the night feeds haha!

We haven't found out the sexes of ours, we were adamant we were going to until loads of people in work managed to change my mind and now I'm glad we didn't. Although not going to lie, at every scan I squint and try to figure out if I can see anything, when I look over at OH he's doing the same Grin
