Something or nothing?

Me and my partner were 'having fun' earlier but he could feel something that felt unusual. About 20 minutes ago I got curious, washes hands, made sure nails were trimmed etc. I'm only 35 weeks but on Monday I was admitted with some very sitting contractions(they were real, they could be seen on the monitor and felt by the doctors and midwives). I wasn't dilated at all when I went in(just worried because of the earlyness), the next day they checked and I'd started dilating and my cervix started shortening. These were the only two times I was checked. My baby is also lower down than she would expect for someone of my gestation the doctor said. Contractions started easing off and I was allowed home Thursday(yay!). But after going in to feel what was 'unusual', my cervix(I think) has moved... To almost I the entrance of my vagina, it was right there and I fit at least a middle finger in but got to squeamish to do more... I'm still having mildish contractions, I have had a case of diahorea today, been feeling sick and now I've felt this and daren't ring the ward in case it's nothing. Is it normal?! It's almost at the entrance of my vagina!!

Ring the ward. Don't put your finger in your cervix (if I've read that right!).

Ring the ward and ask them. Better to get checked and be told it's a false alarm, than not ring the ward because you're worried about bothering them over nothing if something really is up.

And keep your fingers out of your cervix.

Why the heck don't you want to ring the ward? What are they there for?!
Do it now please!
