Breech baby 36 week scan

Had my growth scan yesterday baby estimated to be 6lb8 already I know it's only an estimate but she is also completely breech head right under my ribs. She has one week to turn as due to back issues, herniated disc and extreme sciatica they were looking to induce me at 37 weeks. What's the chances of her moving head down by Tuesday when I've got to go back. She has been breech for weeks but only confirmed on scan yesterday
I don't want the procedure to turn her imo it's too risky

Hi jcsc, I've had two breech babies - both were breech from 20 weeks and didn't turn. Mine were fully breech with heads stuck under my ribs too. I didn't want to go through the turning procedure either - too risky and my mother in law had it done years ago & said it was horrible!
I think the likelihood of your baby turning at this stage is slim, but not unheard of. Some babies wait til the day of the c- section to flip around. I think it depends on your body size really & size of bump etc. Fwiw I've had 2 c-sections & it's not too bad... Very quick & if you take it easy during the weeks after you'll be fine Flowers

Just wondering why you think the ECV is too risky? As a midwife women often say this to me and I am always curious about why major abdominal surgery seems less of a risk. Done by a skilled practitioner ECV is a valuable tool in preventing lifelong morbidity for you and baby. Moxibustion (traditional Chinese medicine) has about the same success rate and is definitely worth considering. Don't forget a section means a scar on your uterus and all the implications that has for future childbearing.

I was in the shower before going down to be induced, at 41+ weeks. Midwife was happy for me to go for a VD. Shock My breech baby turned to head down. He was 9lb 3oz. Twas truly the weirdest sensation of my life, but proves that they can turn, right up to the wire. Good luck.

My DD was transverse at 39 weeks (hadn't ever been head down) so got to hospital for c-section cause the ECV hadn't worked either and the little bugger turned head down for about half an hour then went back to transverse, when she was eventually extracted kicking and screaming the consultant said he could tell she had never been head down as her head was perfectly round.

These babies do whatever they bloody want imo

Thanks for the replies I'm just hoping she will turn before Tuesday Hmm
I've researched about the procedure to try and move them manually and it does come with risks of the baby getting distressed the consultant told me that last Tuesday and she also said it 50/50 whether it will work and the baby could also turn back. There's a post on MN about still birth and the procedure any risk of that and I'm completely out
