Pregnancy

experience with tocolytics?

I had my last baby at 34 weeks. I'm now 31 weeks into this pregnancy; I had been losing blood streaked show for 2 weeks but nothing was done, yesterday however the pains ramped up and I came into triage and put on a monitor, which showed contractions every 2-3 minutes. They decided to examine me and found cervix to be short, dilating and he could feel the baby's head applied to the water sac inside the OS entrance. They admitted me and I have been on tocolytics through a drip ever since and had both doses of steriods. So far they are working well and today they are now irregular. I am due to come off them at 2.30pm.

So my question is has anyone had experience of these before? If so what happened, did you hold on much longer? Or did everything restart once they were finished etc.

TIA.

Anyone? Magnesium sulphate or any of the other medication for delaying preterm labour? Thankyou.
