Becoming a crazy lady when HV/MD is calling.

So the HV rang at 9.30 to say she'd be calling in at 11 for 'antenatal contact' (she's late!). I've since not stopped tidying.... and my house is pretty okay anyway, despite dd (4) being off school all week with d&v!).

I've even dragged the soda stream from the top of the kitchen unit to dust before putting it back.... on the off chance that when offered a drink she requests sparkling water Blush

So anyone else become irrational about it? It's not even like it's my first... and it's the same HV that looked after us last time anyway!

Tell me your stories and make me feel better, the more rediculus the better!

6 month HV check at home with DD, I did exactly the same as you and scrubbed every surface and vacuumed everywhere. HV checked DD's movements and development and explained that is the age they master the pincer grip. Cue DD finding the ONLY bit of fluff on the floor and sticking it straight in her mouth and gagging in front of the HV. Blush

It sounds ridiculous now but at the time I was mortified.

I've refused the HV visit at 28-36 wks. 6th baby. Any health concerns I see my doctor.

My mil is a HV - her house is a massive mess. I'd not worry too much....
