Hi, I am approximatly 8 weeks 2 days pregnant with my first child. I was told years ago that it was highly unlikley id be able to have my own children so I am incredibly shocked but over the moon at my news!!
I am a little worried because ive read how so many people have morning sickness at this stage and breasts have grown loads...
I dont have morning sicnkess and my breast havnt changed - however I do sometimes feel sick in the afternoon for most of the day and have sometimes got sore breasts.
I have gone off a lot of food i used to love and have other symptoms like feeling tired a lot, mood swings, urinating a lot.
I was just wandering if this is normal not to have morning sickness and increased breast size? I am so frightend :(

Please don't be scared. Not everyone has morning sickness or breast tenderness. I really hope this pg goes well for you.

It's normal, I actually have really bad morning sickness but my mum didn't have it at all. My boobs hurt like hell in the very early days, but they have not changed and feel mostly normal now I'm almost 12 weeks.

Every pregnancy is different and whilst there are a range of symptoms you can have you won't have them all and it's all normal! Which is confusing and stressful!

Congratulations!

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

"Morning sickness" is a bit misleading because you can actually get nausea at any time. So if you're feeling sick in the afternoon, that's still morning sickness.

Sore breasts is another symptom (more common that enlarged breasts I think, certainly at the 8 week stage).

Plus feeling tired, weeing more often, going off certain foods... All classic symptoms!

Have you seen your GP or midwife yet?
Have you got any pregnancy apps or books?
Getting medical advice and/or info might reassure you.

But basically it sounds like a normal pregnancy and it's easier said than done but try not to worry Flowers

Congratulations. It all sounds normal to me. Last pregnancy my boobs didn't hurt at all or really grow and I could lie on my front until I gave birth without any discomfort. I did have some nausea and feelings of motion sickness, but that was all and I suspect it was Pregnacare that caused it anyway. I am currently 23 weeks pregnant and have had no sickness or nausea and my breasts are still the same size and not at all sensitive.

Also you might want to join (or just read) the Due in February 2017 thread, you'll find lots of reassurance and solidarity there!

I'm 14 weeks and have had no breast soreness or increase in size at all (which I'm quite put out about as I'm a AA and would love a bit extra!). I did have the nausea early on but that's gone now and I have no real symptoms at all at the moment. Going off your food and extreme tiredness are both symptoms.
I totally understand your anxiety. We TTC for 4 years and had 7 shots at IVF to get this far and I worry about every little thing. Take care Flowers

Thanks to everyone for your words of advice and the congratulations. Smile
I have had this strange feeling of mild cramp/trapped wind/pulling feeling low down on my tummy/top of my lady area. Not sure if this is cos I havnt been able to go to the bathroom as normal but trying not to worry otherwise I'll go crazy!!

Hi, I am 4 days away from my period due date, although this last week, My areolas have become very darkened and my nipples (noticing this morning) are a purplish colour with small bumps around them and have become quite bigger(areolas) I have been expericing abdomen cramps, feeling very flu-ish the last two days and sleeping in the evenings with no energy, heightened sensitivity to cigerettes and white discharge from vagina. I took a digital pregnancy test yesterday which was invaliad, upon taking the strip out i discovered a line and faint second line beside it. Today i took a cheap strip test which was negative. i have been trying for a baby this last month so im looking to know is there a chance i am pregnant??

I didn't have an ounce of morning sickness with all three of my pregnancies. It's completely normal.
