I think about half a lb per week is the very rough estimate for the final weeks. But it's rough!

On average she will put on half a pound a week, so approx 8lbs. Growth scans aren't always accurate though.

Actually, is there not a curve chart thing in your notes? It should have your previous scans plotted on it so you can follow that line to see roughly how big baby will be.

She's on the 55th centile so far. Literally just over the middle line. We shall see soon :) x

My 39week baby was just under 7lbs (although by my dates was born at 38 weeks) so maybe around the 7lb mark?

My little girl was 5lbs when born. Ironically, I was having regular growth scans because my dd1 was a massive 10.4lbs when born and they thought dd2 would be another heffer.

Dd2 was actually a predicted weight of around 9lbs so it was a bit of a shock when she was born she was born by C section and the doctor couldn't find her inside me for a few seconds as she was under my ribs and tiny so he couldn't reach her.

Don't panic too much about the growth scan as you can see they're not always accurate. But my dd was fine at that size I think once they hit 28 weeks and get the lung function it doesn't matter so much.
My friend had a 27 weeker who was heavier than another friends 32 weeker (who was born due to poor growth) but the smaller older one did better if that makes sense.

The only piece of advice is take tiny baby clothes AND 0-3 month just incase.

We only took 3-6 month clothes for dd2 and ended up with a naked baby wrapped in a blanket until my mum whipped to the supermarket over the road and picked up a bag of tiny baby grows so much for washing them first

Doh posted too soon I think it's half a pound a week so possibly 7lbs if scan is right

7/8lb would be so good lol. She feels smaller than my other two, and j haven't put much weight on this time. I'm only taking 0-3 so if she's smaller dp will have to go shopping lol x
