fell over at 6weeks,now I am bleeding

I'm 6 weeks pregnant after tycoon for over a year.

Yesterday I fell backwards while jumping for a ball while playing tennis. I have a massive bruise on my bum and it hurt a lot for a couple of minutes. I didn't hit my tummy.

Overnight I had cramping and have had some brownish bleeding this morning.

I'm not sure what to do. I feel I'm just waiting but I'm not sure anything can be done, so not sure whether it's worth wasting everyone's time by seeing a doctor. Do I just need to let nature happen?

Thanks for any advice

Brown blood isn't necessarily a bad thing as brown blood means old blood. Equally cramps, I think, are normal.

Saying that, I'd ring either midwife or doctor anyway just for reassurance. May be that the bleeding and cramping is nothing to do with your fall.

I can empathise. I've had bleeding and cramps. The first time, at six weeks they scanned me and found a heartbeat but I'm bleeding and cramping again at 7 weeks so am once again scared.

Take care x

Thanks. Good luck to you too.

I'm going to wait it out today and call the doctor tomorrow if I have more bleeding. Other threads say MC start with cramps and a little bit of bleeding, so I fear the worst.

I've bled in two healthy pregnancies like this and in one where I miscarried. All roughly at the same time. The only difference with the one I miscarried in the bleeding got worse and worse. However, that being said sometimes you can miscarry without bleeding.

I would say go to the doctors, they will see you on an emergency appointment and should get you booked in for an early pregnancy scan. My baby I lost was completely gone by the next morning whereas my other two their little hearts could be seen beating.

Good luck both x

Brown blood is common early on I was told when it happened to me- DD is sat on my knee now. I know many people it has happened to. If it is a one off I wouldn't worry. If it happens again call for some reassurance. Good luck!

The bleeding may be unrelated to your fall.

I started having implantation pains at about 6 weeks (that's how I found out I was pregnant). They were incredibly painful at times - I even threw up at one point, it was so bad. It felt like period pain but worse. Am now 16 weeks. Hope everything goes well for you op Flowers
