At 30 wks second pg but these movement i get are more like shudders or shivers. Like a spasm i could describe it as. I have normal kicks too but have these shudders several times a day. I haven't felt hiccups this time either. Anyone else?

Yes I often get 'tremors' as well as kicks and squirms. New thing is feeling an elbow or knee slide all the way down one side - now that's weird!! I think any sort of movement is fine - it depends on size and position.

I have the weird spasm thing (I'm 30 weeks too) and not many kicks. Haven't felt hiccups.

Midwife said he was a dancer not a footballer

I get those too and Ettenna's slidy elbows and knees, especially weird when I'm resting my hand on my bump and can feel it on my hand as well as from the inside.

Never felt hiccups myself
I'm 32 weeks with my 2nd and it mostly feels like a cat trapped in a small sack

Phew thanks girls. Been mithering about it for a while. First PG i got elows knees and alsorts from early on and hiccups all the time it seemed. The thing i'll never get used to is the scraping/puncturing feeling on the bladder thats happening as i type!!! PG1 became painful towards the end because of it!! Vile!!!

I get the feelings and movements you have mentioned.
To look at my tummy when I getb these shudders its bizarre and like a shake... At 38 weeks I am still getting them along with what looks and feels like limbs and all sorts moving. TBH it can be quite uncomfortable. Im huge and thought movements became less towards the end .

Also get hiccups...same as with dd.

I had the whole range of movements already mentioned, plus it felt like hands running up and down, sort of like stroking/tickling. She was a little wriggler on the inside, and still continues to be one now - hence my name!

I had those spasm-like shudders in my 1st pregnancy, and worried it was some kind of epilepsy in the baby! very silly, I know. Baby (now 3) was fine. Don't worry

I had a load of violent movement in the middle of the night a few weeks ago and then a shudder and then nothing. So I burst into tears, convinced something terrible had happened.

But he's fine. Now it feels like he's doing finger knitting in my cervix

We thought we could feel my dd2 breathing as we could feel a rhythmic up and down motion at the side of my tummy. When we said that to the MW when I was in labour she gave me the "I've got a pair of really stupid people here" and said that they do not breathe until they are born. Ok, she wasn't breathing but she was doing something and my DH felt it too. It was so strange.

my 2nd moved a lot more than my first (both girl)

when preg with my ds 2 I had such bizarre movements that i was frequently in tears thinking something dreadful had haopened!
one evening when I was 33, it suddenly felt as if he had gone into a major spasm, then something(a foot, hand poss), shot across the front of my bump!!, I nearly flew out of my chair! he also managed to kick me viloently, as he was being born!( a protest possibly??)
also I used to feel the breathing movements, its normal, unborn babaiesdo practise "breathing" in the womb, it shows up on US.

Well my mind has certainly been put at rest that it's normal to have spasms/shudders. The hiccupps have started several times a day now as well. This baby definately not as violent as DS. He would kick so hard I'd gasp loudly in shock and scrape my bits like he had a flick knife on the go!! I've never felt the kicks in the ribs thing though either last time or this.

well with my last it was completlty diff than this time , ds was very active had the same with shouting with shock nearly every day , ds in tum is a lot more placid and content in there, i swore that ds was doing star jumps - saying that only 6 months gone so plenty of time for things to change

I'm also 30 weeks pg with second baby and get the "shudder" thing which worried me at first until I read a thread on here that said I wasn't alone.
This one is extremely active, and seems to be so strong I'm convinced it's a boy.
I get kicked or punched in the ribs and really low down as well.
Doesn't seem to sleep much.
I wonder if we feel movements more with the second pregnancy then.
