I've posted before, and must apologise that you only here from me when I am miserable!

Really, I just need some cheering up and reassurance that it does get better! I am 17 weeks and still nauseous all the time, though only actually sick about 3-4 times a week.

I have awful diarrhea, and my cervix still hurts every time I sneeze, walk around, have wind, etc due to the heavy duty cervical stitch!

It just seems like there is no end. I know MANY have it worse than me and all I can say to those who do is a massive kudos- you are stronger women than I!

It will most likely get better London, mine eased dramatically around 20 weeks and I wasn't being sick at 25 weeks ish and felt great! And now I look back at it, it really helped my weight gain (I have been constantly hungry since sickness ended and didn't feel so bad as I had lost a stone). I'm overdue and waiting for an induction now. And overall my morning sickness is pretty much forgotten!

Good luck

It won't last forever London. It really won't.

And if it's any consolation, I always find having a newborn to be so much easier than being pregnant, and spend the first 6 months waking up thinking how lovely it is to not be pregnant any more and just be looking after a baby instead.
I know it sounds ungrateful but pregnancy is not much fun. Sounds like you're having a rough time too.

If the nausea is getting you down, there are mild tablets you can take from the GP which really do help. Don't suffer more than you have to Flowers

Thank you both.

I am counting the minutes to 20 weeks- but am cautious as I was counting the minutes to 12 weeks when it was meant to improve and it just got worse.

What are the tablets? I have a midwife appointment tomorrow so will request (demand). I am really struggling to balance work (have a busy and demanding job, don't we all) and this. I feel pathetic all this whining!

I can't wait to be not pregnant- and I can imagine I will feel the same, waking up and just being happy not to be pregnant anymore!

Hey London , so sorry to here this! Pregnancy is not always easy xxx

Calvin it would be better if you started your own thread as what you are asking is a different topic and may hijack this thread. Please click 'topics' then 'pregnancy', and then 'Start a new thread within this topic' just under 'subject'

Flowers ut will get better London, sorry you are struggling at the moment.

I'm 25 weeks with my second and really struggling but the thing getting me through it is that at least I know why I feel like this and that it will end!

Can recommend cyclizine for nausea it really helped me, BUT it does make you very drowsy.
Google pregnancy sickness support, they are a charity who support people struggling with pregnancy and can tell you a lot about what meds to ask for, tips and tricks and they offer peer support as well.

SmallBee thank you- I will do all of that now!

I had the thought today that I still have about 23 weeks to go. In other words- more left than I have completed thus far.

I sobbed and then shouted DH for no reason and then sobbed some more.

Is this your first? It feels so abstract to me at the moment- like I know on a cognitive level that a baby will be the present at the end, but on an emotional level I just feel like it will never end and it's all for nothing!

Hi London,

This is my second. So it's great in some ways because I know how amazing it will be when DS is finally here, but....having to look after a toddler means when I feel awful I can't rest, which definitely makes it worse!

Did you speak to the midwife /GP today?
