Seraphine Sizes

Hi

I'm looking at buying a few things from Seraphine and wonder about their sizes. Their size guide says to buy your pre pregnancy size. Problem is I don't usually wear dresses and that's what I'm looking to buy.
Are they generally more generous in size or slightly small? I'm generally a 14 occasionally a 16 on top and a 16 on the bottom. Anyone else a similar size who can advise on the sizes.

I'm not a similar size to you but hopefully this is helpful: I've bought a few things from Seraphine (trousers and dresses) I find they come up large, the trousers more so than the dresses.

Sorry, forgot to mention, I bought a jojo top in a size 16 and it drowns me so I'd say they they are more generous in size. I'm larger in the boob area and also have big arms but before pregnancy was slimmer around the middle.

Seconded. I fitted a Seraphine Sz 8 when I was 3-7 months pregnant. I'm a size 12!

Agree about dress and tops but the jeans I bought wouldn't go over my thighs ShockHmmConfusedBlush had to go size 16 and I'm normally a chunky 12....still don't fit right so I think it may depend on your body shape too

I'd say dresses and tops are generous, jeans come up pretty small.

Great thread Vap, I was wondering this too!

I've just bought 8 dresses from them Shock (I got a bit carried away...but also know half won't look right if my normal online shopping is to go by!) I'm a 14/16 and got them all in 14 - will let you know later this week once they've arrived. There's a 20% discount on dresses that ends tonight too BTW!

I'm a size 8-10 and used seraph one when pregnant, they do come up large. I have small boobs and in a size 10 wrap top I have to wear a vest underneath for modesty! They are lovely quality though and wash well!

Ilovewillow My Seraphine wrap dress has bobbled after only two washes. It's put me off buying anything else from them. What have you got from them that washes well? I'm desperate for work clothes but I need them to last until the end of August!

Seraphine clothes are not good quality imo. I have had several dresses, leggings and tops bobble after a few washes!

Thanks for the tip peanut just bought 4. Bought them in a size 14 and will see how I get on. I hope they don't bobble too quickly.

Hi Vap,

My turn to give you advice LOL.

I visited Seraphine in Leeds and found the sizes pretty spot on. It may be different down south as sizes tend to be smaller everywhere.

I'm an 8 and I ended up buying a 10 in the shorts and the clingy dress but an 8 in the other 2 dresses and the top. One dress I tried on (8) was too big on top but that tends to happen with me anyway. My boobs haven't grown but if yours have they should be accommodated!

I've not had chance to wear them yet (only 16w) so can't comment on how they wash. I'm planning on wearing the clingy one to my birthday night out on Friday and I cannot wait, it makes my bump look enormous!

Good luck.

I've got two of the jersey shift dresses and they've washed (and tumble dried!) fine. One I bought 2nd hand and it's still in v good condition. Maybe it depends on the material? I've got the leather look leggings too and they've washed well.
