I'm almost 36 weeks. Only really starting to struggle during the last couple.

I have mild SPD which flares up sporadically, but there are other symptoms which have appeared that I didn't experience last time

  1. Tailbone pain. Intensely aches when I walk or sit down.

  1. Swollen arches. Not feet, not ankles. Just the arches, with accompanying shooting pains. This is causing me to walk funny and now my achilles is sore Angry Can I use deep heat or something? I've got four weeks left at main work and three weeks of fitness teaching to get through!

  1. Itchy legs. Bumpy rash all down my legs which appeared from nowhere two weeks ago. Mainly colourless bumps like an allergic reaction and intensely itchy. Also itchy boobs, bump, and arms but no rash there, just the occasional lump.

Moan, moan, whinge, whinge Blush. Sorry, have to do it somewhere. OH is getting fed up of it, he's started replying, 'well you wanted a baby....' Hmm

I'm maybe not the best person to respond, as I threw caution to the wind.

I just took 500mg of paracetamol for SPD when the pain was bad.
Warm baths for the aches at the end of the day.
I used tiger balm for lower back pain. (Not sure if this is safe, but nothing claims to be safe!! I figured I was topical so prob ok)

Not long now, although I know it can feel like a lifetime.

See you on 'why is my baby not sleeping/feeding!!!?' Threads soon Grin

Paracetomol for 1 and 2 is about it. I can't see why you couldn't use deep heat? I have terribly itchy legs sometimes, as long as you've seen your MW and ruled out anything more serious, I just use Aveeno, and I keep it in the fridge so its nice and cooling.

Ooh fridge - fresh cream sanch , good call! Though haven't seen midwife since it started so probably should mention it.

Might look into tiger balm too sleepybunny. Is there also a thread called 'why is my four year old waking me up every half an hour from 3am when I'm heavily pregnant and trying to contain my hormonal, sleep - deprived rage?'.

I wish I could say it gets better when the baby arrives....I'm sure you know the script!

Might be worth looking into a chiropractor/osteopath visit as the SPD and arches pain could well be connected and solvable.
