I have just taken a CB and it has come up positive whoop. I think it will put me at 4weeks so still a long way to go. Anyway I suffered two MC at 7weeks so have not told my DH about the pregnancy yet. Im getting period like pain so was kind of thinking about not telling him until 8 weeks. What do you think?

Is the period pain a sign of MC??

The period pain may just as well be a pregnancy symptom, there's no way of knowing unfortunately. But if I were you I would share with DH straight away - it's not your duty to bear the worry on your own to protect him, you're a partnership and should face any potential lows together as well as the highs. That's my view. Congratulations by the way! :)

I would tell your DH. Period type pain is a very common symptom of a healthy pregnancy. How would you feel if it was the other way around and your DH had kept something as important from you? If the worst were to happen would you still not tell him and go through it all alone? I really would tell him.

Congratulations. And yes I would share with your DH. You should have to worry alone. That's what he's there for to share the good
Times and sad times.
I wish you all the luck
With this pregnancy. Xxx

Id deffiently tell him now, he deserves to know even if it does go wrong, although I compleatly understand the urge to protect him! I had loads of period pains in the first 12 weeks so try not to worry, easier said than done I no! Good luck and congratulations Grin

Tell him. He'd be gutted if he found out later and thought you'd kept it from him to spare his feelings. Does that make sense?

Also, you need a valid reason to turn down wine, soft cheese, undercooked eggs, etc.

When should you tell him? - right now. Why ever would you not?

You should tell him straight away! I had period type cramps as well in my first trimester, they were my first pregnancy symptom. Congratulations

Why wouldn't you tell him? Sorry but I find that very weird. Would you keep if from him if you mc?

Thank you all for your advice. My DH can be very sensitive and I don't want him to get hurt, so I feel but not telling him until 8weeks I feel that I am somehow protecting him.
I don't drink wine or eat soft cheese so that wouldn't worry him.

He is at work till Wednesday so will tell him when he comes home and go from there.

Thank you.

Please tell him, apart from anything else- you shouldn't have to worry alone. Congratulations! Flowers

If he's very sensitive I think he'd be a lot more hurt that you chose to hide the fact that you were pregnant from him for 2 months to be honest.

That's really not normal in a relationship- surely he's not so sensitive that he couldn't cope with supporting his wife with a miscarriage?
Not that you will have a miscarriage of course Flowers
