Am just so cross at it.
Am shattered look horrendous.
I just take 3 hrs to go to sleep, then wake about 2-3 x and find it hard to fall back to sleep. wake early and twitch.
I know I am tired, I do get cat naps in the afternoon on the sofa or when dd has a sleep BUT arghhh
Am I mad saying that I cannot wait for this baby to be born so I can sleep properly, like maybe for 2 yrs in a row....
10 weeks to go

Bitch over

oooo Piffle - you could be me!! I get the worst insomnia when pg, and have resorted to 'sleeping' on an air bed in the spare room so that DH doesn't get disturbed by me (mainly through hitting him when he's snoring soundly and I can't sleep).

I have fantasies where I check into a hotel for the weekend and just sleep.

I long for sleep.

I had this too and I really sympathise. I could have happily slapped everyone who said, "ooh, it's just mother nature's way of preparing you for when the baby is born".

Hope it improves soon.

I'm 39 weeks and have had the same problem for weeks. I have to say though that it seems nature's way to get you ready for the sleepless nights when bay is born At the moment I rarely sleep before 2am and am up about every 30-60 mins all night long for the loo. I try and get a nap in during the day if my parents are here which helps too, otherwise at least I'm used to the sleepless nights; sort of anyway!

I'd forgotten the insomnia thing while pg... I'm 26 weeks and it has just kicked in! I also have a snoring dp (complete with bruised ribs!) and I'm getting heartburn all night as well. Think ds can have a cbeebies afternoon so i can kip on the sofa! Oh well, at least I've not got to work til tomorrow night... Like the argh argh argh, is that finbar from rubberdubbers?!
