Hi everyone, super new to this (as of 10 mins ago!!!). I am home alone and have been feeling really cp for about a week. My fiance happily went off on his stag do today for two nights. It dawned on me that my period is late so I popped along to the chemist and got a pregnancy test. I was pretty sure I felt pregnant but, having never been pregnant I wasn't sure...anyway, I am - the clear blue test says 2-3 weeks :o) I know my fiance will be thrilled and this is kinda perfect as we are getting married one month today. The thing is, he isn't here...he is on a stag weekend with his Dad, my brother-in-law, my brother and his close friends. He's having a ball. If I tell him now I am certain he won't be able to keep it to himself. My Mum is at my sister's house tonight, so I could tell her, but I think he would be upset if I told her before him...my best friend is coming to stay tomorrow, but, again I think he should know first. Any advice on what to do? I'm thinking keeping quiet until Sunday will be haaaaard work!!! p.s. i keep crying!

I'd keep it to yourself for as long as possible....it will be a lovely surprise for when he comes home too ( plan a way to tell him-bootees on his pillow?).....and crying is a fairly normal response!!
congratulations too xx

Thanks soo much scotsgirl64 I wasn't sure anyone would reply. I was thinking I could either give him a sesame seed and say, 'That's how big our baby is!' or just tell him he now has sole responsibility for the cat's litter tray!

Wait until he gets home and tell him in a nice way, like with a clue/hint.

You could get a box for something he wants and put the positive test in there, or as a PP has said; booties or a dummy!

It's so strange not being able to tell anyone - I've started talking to my baby already! LolHmm

I'm 34 and have been on the pill for years so I was pretty sure it wouldn't happen so soon.

Definitely keep it to yourself until you can tell fiance, and after that both of you need to keep it to yourselves until after twelve weeks in my opinion, as before then the chances of miscarrying are so high that it would add to the heart ache to have to tell everyone.

Hopefully everything will be fine though!Smile

I whatsapped a photo of the test along with 'better get saving then!' It was a bit different though as I'd suspected and told him I was fairly certain I was pregnant before taking the test. We're keeping it to ourselves for a bit longer. Congratulations!

Congratulations! I too think you should keep it to yourself until he comes home. It's such a special moment that should be shared between the two of you before anyone else. I know it's hard, I remember wanting to scream it from the rooftops, but it will be worth it...especially seeing the look on his face.

Let your fiance knows first. I know how excited you are but if you'll do any of those steps, you will face different consequences. Choose which one will give you a better outcome. Wink

Wonderful news. Your DP has to be the first to know imo.

I did it like this in the end! Waited and didn't tell anyone until he came home. He said he was really proud of me for waiting and really happy I told him first Smile I have him the box and said I would definitely be making a Dr's appt (he knew I hadn't been feeling well) Thanks everyone I'm so happy I did the right thing x

Awwwww that is lovely OP! Congratulations!! I have just found out I'm pregnant too, just this morning and my DP had just come home from an 11 hour night shift and I just showed him the test, said 'we've only gone and done it!' and burst into happy tears! Damn, wish I'd had time to think of something a bit more original like you!
