Induction at 24 weeks ???? How

Please can someone give me some advise. I am 24 weeks 3 days. My waters broke at 21 weeks 1 day (you may remember me) I am so happy to have made it this far and the outlook to her surviving is so much better than it was when they advised me not even to resuscitate!

So I have been fine no pains no dialating just continuous leaks of fluid. Today I had some slight pains and it felt like there was something in my pelvis and I was worried it was her head engaging. On inspection I have a closed cervix but they felt and said yes her head is low down so it could mean that I will start dialating and efacing soon.

Well when I left Brighton hospital they FORGOT to give me antibiotics to take home. It was only when I looked at my notes I realised I was supposed to have them, so I've gone 4 days with out them! I went in to my local maternity and they had to get the doctor to sign for some for me. Whilst I was waiting I went from being fine to being awful I went dizzy and had to wrap up in my coat and the hospital blanket and my temperature was 37.7 pulse of 133 and blood p of 122/81 all infection markers. They took blood and realised my infection markers are up. I feel so un well. I'm hot then I'm cold then I'm normal and if I walk in dizzy and I have been sick several times.

I went home to drop my car off (before they admitted me) and my son also has an awful cold and so does my mum and my sons been sick all day. So I don't know if this is just me with that? But I haven't got a runny nose or anything.

Anyway they are talking about transferring me again to a hospital with a special nicu and says I may need to be induced.

I'm so scared. How do they induce me at this stage? Will it be a c section or vaginal? How will they induce me?? Like the process

I'm so upset because this could have all been avoided if they had remembered to give me my antibiotics! The thing is they didn't even call me after I had left to tell me they had forgotten so I doubt they've remembered even now.

Induction will most likely be with the syntocinon infusion to give you contx. I wouldn't stress too much about the antibiotics, a lot of units don't give them for pre term rupture of membranes as they can mask infection markers.
