I had a elcs 3 weeks ago. My abdomen and the scar are still very painful and tender, and very sensitive when clothes rub against them. I'm also still bleeding bright red on and off - it seems to be just after expressing. Did anyone experience this and how long did the pain and bleeding take to stop fully? Cheers

My wound itself was tender for a couple of months and then went numb, I haven't had any sensation for about an inch above or below the scar since. I've had two sections, 14 and 10 years ago.

I bled for about 2 months, particularly around breastfeeding as the womb contracts when feeding. The fact it's bright red is concerning, speak to your HV about it.

I had an ELCS 4 weeks ago and have very little pain in my scar. I'm definitely aware of it when moving, dressing etc, but it's not actually painful. I'm still bleeding (quite bright red) and TBH I'd thought this was normal but I might phone the HVS tomorrow.
