Is this normal?

Probably a silly question but I don't know if this is normal or not. I'm 39 weeks pregnant tomorrow and my fanjo aches. I was told bubs head is engaged which is good but its making it so hard for me to walk. I can't put any weight on my right leg and I'm really really uncomfortable. Bub is moving a lot which is also good but it hurts! Is all this normal? I'm seriously fed up with it.

all normal......how far is baby engaged..should say in your notes...also, will be pressing on all sorts of nerves and all your pelvic ligaments are stretched, so you entire bottom half will feel odd !

Sounds very normal - in fact, I was exactly like that at the end of my pregnancy with DS. I felt all achey and stretched down below. After a couple of days, my waters broke and I went into labour. Fingers crossed for you - it really does sound like it won't be long now!

Oh what a relief that its normal. I feel like I've been kicked in the fanjo, it feel really bruised Carapl tunnel is worse in the last 2 days aswell, I used to get it just at night but my finger tips are permanently numb now.

Lulu-notes said I was 3/5 at 37 weeks, then last week (38 weeks) shes just put 'eng'. Does this mean bub is fully engaged?

I've felt like this for about a week now but its getting progressively worse. Its getting to the point where I'm nearly housebound. Must nearly be time. If I go over I will be so fed up. x

Could I have SPD? Just been reading another thread about it?

spd....maybe..but at this late stage, makes no great difference,,that is also a low down pain in the pubic / fanjo area...turning over, opening the legs, and scissor motion of the legs makes it worse...

the problems you are having might simply be symptomatic of an engaged baby and a virtually full term pregnant body,

I think it sounds like a good reason to put your feet up and not move much.
