Were you ever certain you were pregnant and then not been?

Or

Convinced you weren't when you were? Love hearing people's stories.

Too early for me to test but over a week away from my period and very sore, stiff feeling boobs. Only other time I've felt this is when I was last pregnant!

I'm 35 weeks pregnant. When I took my test it was the only time I've ever taken a pregnancy test and not been convinced it would be positive. I was so shocked when it was I started hyperventilating (no exaggeration!). I should've known really considering the awful cramps I'd had for a week and no AF Grin but I put it all down to stress making me late.

I didn't think i was this time, i was using opks and tracking temp, got a positive opk but never got a confirmed ovulation on fertility friend. One day at work i felt sick all day and in the evening i got the same food aversion i got with DD. I tested to rule it out! 26 weeks now!

Thanks for sharing your stories ladies, it's so funny and lovely how things turn out sometimes!

I wonder what's going on with me. I've convinced myself I am but on the other hand I could be going crazy and it could be a phantom pregnancy!

Try a Superdrug Early test. I got a faint positive after eight days first thing in the morning.

The first pregnancy I had I was a bit of a novice when it came to when to test so tried a couple of days after I was due on, it was negative so thought nothing of it. A week later, no period, but I thought it was just because I had recently come off the pill. I went to the docs, she felt my tummy and gave me a funny look and told me to take a test again. I did and it was a genuine shock when it was positive! Sadly that pregnancy did not last and the next two I could pinpoint exactly what had happened - usually starts with the sensitive sense of smell and food tasting off.

Good luck - I do think it is a lot easier to tell second time around :-)

It took me around 18 months to get pregnant both times. Both times I thought I was pg most months.

Both times we had taken a break from ttc, when I fell pregnant.

So both times I had no idea until I realised I was late and did a test.

Nice surprises though Grin

Nope. With all mine I knew before I did the test. With my daughter I knew and I must have been literally days pregnant (and I was a teenager and wasn't actively tryingf so it wasn't wishful thinking). With both boys though I was convinced that they were going to be girls despite seeing what the sonographer refered to as 'a very definite pair of testicles' and my first question when I came round from ga with my first csection was 'is it still a boy?'

Thanks everyone! I guess sometimes you can tell sometimes you can't....I'm sure there are a lot of mumsnet'ers out there who want me to POAS.

I've been feeling abit gutted today cos I've done a full circle and now convinced myself I'm not pregnant X

First pregnancy I didn't realise until I did a test to discount it at 8ish wks pregnant. The sickness, exhaustion, boob soreness and constant trips to the loo in the night hadn't alerted me. I thought I had some sort of nasty bug. (We weren't TTC obviously)
This time I tested before my missed period. I didn't think it'd be positive as we had only been trying for 6 wks, but our cat was telling us otherwise. She's only ever been a lap cat during pregnancy and had gone back to refusing to leave me alone. Clever furball knew from about 7dpo... I tested at 10dpo and got a very faint positive.
