Is anyone up? Reduced movement

Chloeisobelle21 · 13/02/2016 04:36

Since yesterday I have had reduced movements and before I went to bed I got some good rolls, flutters and a kick or two. But I've woken up all through the night with a horrible feeling. It's 4.30 am now and I'm freaking out because he isn't moving a lot again. All I want to do is go to hoosital but I don't know what to do? I have a toddler asleep in bed and the only person I know that drives is my friends partner. I'm so worried something is wrong. I'm 29 weeks

Do it. Go. Go now. I had similar at 39 weeks, no one will mind if you are fine, but why take a chance?

But I'm not sure what to do? Can I just turn up at the hospital? Or do I phone?

Can you call a cab? Get someone to watch your toddler? You can just turn up, but I called ahead to warn them
I was coming in. They were fine about it and totally understood the worry.
At least pack yourself a bag so you are ready to move when you can? Have you tried drinking something fizzy? That always got a reaction from mine.

Call as you leave to let them know you are on your way.

Give them a call. They will likely tell you to jave a cold drink and lie on your sidefor a short time to seif that helps him move around. So maybe try that first.

I will try fizzy now. He is moving but yesterday he was so quiet and it's unusual. He is moving now but I have this sick feeling like I need to get this checked. I can call a taxi it will cost me about £50 there and back though. I feel like if I call people they are gonna be mad at me. But I can't shake it off, I'm worried. I might call my daughters dad and see if he can take me.

Please listen to your instinct. No one minds a call in the middle of the night for something like this. You need to be seen.

No one decent will be mad. It's your job to look after your baby and yourself. Wake up your DD dad and ask. Or call the nhs hotline, they may decide to send ambulance if the lying on side, cold / fizzy water doesn't trigger anything. It's better to be checked out and Ok, than something wrong be ignored because of not wanting to be a bother.

Firstly, dont panic.. He IS moving, thats good news. I had this worry later on in my pregnancy and read lots on the count the kicks website..it said you know best the routine of your baby's movements, so if that changes at all you should get checked. If you say movements were reduced yesterday and today, you should get checked for reassurance. Hugs to you, I know that sick feeling of thinking something could be wrong. Did you get hold of your mum?

I went yesterday because although my baby was moving a little bit it was nowhere near as much as usual. Everything was fine but I'm glad I went. How are you? Have you been? Flowers

Did you get to the hospital ok? There's not a souls I know who wouldn't help if I was concerned about baby and I'm sure your friends and family are the same. I hope you got seen and checked out Thanks

Hope you and baby are ok op. Definitely go and get checked out. It's the right thing to do. My sister and my friend had to go in many times during their pregnancy to get checked when they had reduced movement. All was fine but the hospital always said they did the right thing to come in. Thanks

Great news. And if it happens again please do not hesitate to go back.

Defo won't hesitate. The midwife was very clinical that I saw and quite brassy. But she said if I'm ever worried I must go in and they'll check him for me
