It's me again...
I went in to the hospital the other evening on the advice of my community midwife and after speaking to them on the ward as well. I have had black spots floating in front of my eyes intermittently for the last week/10 days.
They took a urine sample that had a plus of protein in it, so baby was monitored for half an hour and I had to press the button every time he moved. Baby is absolutely fine and kicking around like a professional football player like normal
They took blood tests that came back fine, but told me to take it easy and to watch for headaches and swelling.
This morning I have been trying to shake a headache since I woke up at 6. More sleep and lots of water haven't helped and my ankles are swollen.
Am I being paranoid? They said the word preeclampsia, not me... that the protein and black spots were signs of it. I''m 28 + 3 and 28years old if that is relevant. I am also on my own... DP is a 7 hour drive away thanks to work and is away for a total of 2 months. DM is around 400 miles away. I do have friends etc but I don't want to disturb them unnecessarily.
Is it worth me just keeping an eye on the headache etc? I don't need to go in just now do I.... I could check in on myself again mid afternoon and then give them a call if I am anxious...right?
FWIW, if I thought the baby wasn't moving like normal obviously I would go in straight away, but he is squiggling about in his usual all-over-the-place can-you-guess-where-I'm-going-to-boot-you-next-mummy? kind of way
