Pregnancy

2 weeks late still negative hpt

So, I should have gotten my period around the 20th of January (last one was Dec 15), its now 2 weeks late. Taken 4 hpts (last one this morning) and 2 days ago went to planned parenthood where they just did a urine test--negative. Has anybody else had this happen being 2 weeks late? Also, I'm NEVER late. So this is the main reason I feel I'm pregnant, yet getting negative tests.

My boobs are achy, and a little fuller, but they don't hurt to touch. Started feeling a bit nauseous sometimes, mainly after I eat. And some foods just upset my stomach the last couple days, giving me more bathroom trips than I'd like and its not the runs but its softer (sorry tmi...) which is almost a relief because I've been a bit constipated..(again tmi hah, agh)

Just tonight I started cramping a bit, but more of a pressure right above bikini line and almost a warm/burning sensation? And like I said, I've had a bit of an upset stomach after I eat, so its been bubbling a bit (which has now stopped) and thats when the cramping started too. I'm just laying down, trying to relax, and the cramping/burning pressure is still there and its kinda making me feel like I'm about to pee, but I just went like 10 min ago so I know I'm empty. I haven't had a real noticeable amount of more frequent bathroom trips so that would be new.

Anyways, thats all thats going on. I just feel different, plus with my period this late, I don't know what else would be happening other than me being pregnant. Has anyone gotten negatives still many weeks into pregnancy? How can I know for sure if I am? I've heard of times that a blood test is negative, then 2 weeks later positive. Is my only choice to wait it out?

I think it is unfortunately. Try again in a couple of days. I have heard of women getting positives only a couple of weeks after their missed period, although that hasn't been my personal experience.
Which hpt are you using? Some are more sensitive than others. Superdrug's own brand and first response are supposed to be the best for early testing.

Two weeks is a very long time to not show up positive. So it's very unlikely you are pregnant.
It is however not uncommon to have what is called an anovulary cycle, when you don't ovulate and therefore skip a period.
Massively frustrating especially when trying to conceive.
Hope AF shoes up soon.

I got 2 weeks worth of negative tests with DD, but I've never had regular periods, so it wasn't clear if I had missed a period or just wasn't having one that month anyway Hmm I was about 5 weeks pg when I got a positive result.
We are ttc #2 but I'm still waiting to test at the moment. I got 2 positive ovulation tests last week, so DTD like rabbits, but this wait to test is killing me!!!

Thanks for the responses. Yea I guess I just need to wait and see. I've used first response each time. But just picked up a couple clear blues so I'll try that next. Just hope I find out soon!
And good luck to you MyBreadIsEggy! Hopefully you quickly get that positive

skankingpiglet, what was your experience? Did you get a positive before or after you were 2 weeks late?

Erm.... well... This time I got a response ridiculously early. I hadn't even missed my period but the 'cat pregnancy test' was reading positive. She only ever sits next to me or on my feet except during my last pregnancy when every time I sat down to as much as put my shoes on she was draping herself all over me. When she started it up again in October I thought I better get myself to the pharmacy. Yup, she was right. 3 days before AF was due, very faint line.
Last time, yes technically I got a positive more than 2 weeks after I was due on. However I didn't think I was pregnant (happy accident) and only tested because I had made an appointment to see my GP about the crazy tiredness and sickness I was experiencing Blush Only took a test as I knew they'd ask (always do as standard!) and thought I could save some time in getting fixed if I could tell them 'yes, yesterday, negative'. In my defence my periods had been all over the place for months so a late or missed period wasn't the pregnancy indicator you'd expect, I just didn't twig. I was 8wks from lmp when I tested and the lines appeared very dark and immediately, helped also by (as I know now) my ovulating early in my cycle.
So not terribly helpful for you I'm afraid Mariah, but you asked Smile

I'm afraid this happened to me but after 22 days (I think) I got my period. I am usually v regular and still don't know why it was so late. Fingers crossed it's good news for you though!

The others I've read of who had to wait weeks before their bfp btw are some ladies on my birth board on a different site.

With my third DC I was about three weeks late before I finally got a positive, it was very strange.
Get the super drug tests, they are much more sensitive than clear blue. I did a lot of research while waiting to find out if I was pregnant or not.Smile

Sweetie is so right with the superdrug tests!!
Why waste £10 on a digital clear blue, when a £2.50 one from superdrug does the job! that's what I used when I got a positive with DD. Everyone loves a bargain Wink

Really?! I will definitely try that out then.
Yea I'm a little over 2 weeks late now and seen a good amount of posts of women not getting positives til after theyr two weeks late. So it seems this is pretty common, I just don't wana get my hopes up

Me either mariah! I keep thinking that I "feel" pregant because I remember all the feelings had last time before proper symptoms started...but don't know if I'm just "feeling" things because I want to be pregnant!

Exactly! Same here. But this would be my first so I'm really not sure exactly how it feels I just know that this time feels so much different than any other time I thought I might be. Then with AF being this late definitely adds to it. Plus my best friend told me she had a dream a couple weeks ago with me in it n she was playing with a baby. And that was before I mentioned I was late or anything. Which obviously doesn't mean I am but still there's just all these crazy signs making me think

Well, I might get a better idea by tmrw.. Just used the bathroom n when I wiped got the toilet paper like a really light tint of pink and there was a bit dropped in the toilet... But then nothing more. This would be strange for the beginning or AF to be this color so I'm thinking that's not what's coming. And if no AF, then this must be implantation bleeding right? Which should mean I am pregnant.. So let's see what happens!

I'm 12 days late for my period, my boobs are really sore and a bit swollen, my lower back is hurting, I'm getting headaches, I'm tired, I feel nausea (without vomiting) in the morning. And I'm having cramps in my stomach, I'm constantly needing a wee. But I just took a test and it's came back negative. Help please.

I had this happen the cycle before this pregnancy! I was so sure I had to be pregnant, and when I finally tested I bled the next day (I ugly sobbed over that BFN too...) But then I got pregnant for real this cycle, I waited even longer to test because I was so sure my body was just making a fool of me again. It could go either way! Sometimes our cycles will get all out of whack for no reason. If you find you've missed two periods in a row with still no BFP, get to a doc and push for an ultrasound in case it's a cryptic pregnancy.
