I'd love to! I'm due Boxing Day and to tempt fate we are spending Christmas Eve until the 27th at the PILs 150 miles away. Having been late twice before I think my chances are slim but I'll do my best!

There's quite a few of the girls on the Due in Dec thread who are overdue already so someone ought to manage it.

hope not for the sake of the babies.

my mum's birthday is on Christmas day and she hates it. all her childhood people forgot. because Christmas takes over everything.

oilhan, are you mad?

(or have they just got a very good local mat unit near them? )

Mad and very slightly desperate . Their local mat unit is as good as our local one and I'm unlikely to know the midwife I get at home so it doesn't seem to make any odds really. Plus, I've been to 41 weeks and then 42 weeks with the others so I figure the chance of going into labour on time is pretty much zero.

But then there's the other part of me that wants sod's law to intervene and make it happen while we're there!

i am actually due tomorrow but have a feeling he might pop out xmas day as that would be the most inconvenient for all! am relying on a friend to drive me so will have to prise her away from her dinner if he decides to come then!

I'll be 37 weeks on Christmas eve but this is my 3rd and I've been having painful contractions on and off for over a week now. The hospital say I'm in early labour. When I was monitored I was having contractions every few mins and they were all between 80 and 120 on the graph. My first was born at 36 weeks and my 2nd 38 so I think I have babies early. Really scared of the birth though! We have 12 people here for Christmas dinner so no doubt this one will wait until then to put in appearance hehe.

Hey i am due tomorrow, but have planned for christmas as if i'm still preggy, going visiting everyone, going for dinner etc, in the hope that sods law will intervene and get things going!!

I didn't have mine yet. I am having lots of niggles though, lots of pain and pressure really low down at the front since last night. I have a cold at the moment though and am not sleeping well so I'm hoping for a few more days at least!

My cousin had a little girl christmas morning, not sure what time it was. She was over due, delivered by c/s and weighed 7lb - small I thought for a late arrival.
