Work really stressing me out!! (Homecare)

Hello, I'm really stressing and need a moan! Work has had problem after prep ken with me since I became pregnant, iv had enough now and just want to jack it all in!

First thing was they told me I had to provide a blood test to prove I was pregnant, before they could do a risk assessment. Docs refused. After researching and speaking to ACAS I found out they have no right to ask and that the risk assessment should be done as soon as I tell them I am pregnant... It has been done now...

Next they refused to pay me for antenatal appointments, I lost an entire day's work for my first appointment... They just didn't give me any work!

Finally, they are refusing to give me full holiday rights, they only want to give me holiday earned until I leave, I have spoken to ACAS and they have said that I am entitled to full holiday rights, when passing this on to my boss she raised her voice at me saying 'I don't give a stuff what ACAS said'

My problem is I am on a 0 hour contract (verbally) and although I have spoken to ACAS many times, and been to the citizen advice bureau.... No one seems to actually know what I am entitled too!!

I am 25+4 so it's getting to the point where I need to start sorting my maternity leave... Any holiday not taken will be lost!

I'm just so fed up of being so confused, no one knows what I am entitled too, my boss can't just sit and talk about it without raising her voice, I can feel that I am starting to be disliked by office staff, my hours have dropped from being regularly above 25 to 16. They are giving me work on my set days off without asking beforehand if it's okay, they know I can't start until 5pm as I have horses to sort (not all mine, I help with a friends as well) but have now been starting me at 4. I just feel like I'm constantly complaining although I really feel like they are treating me differently and trying to make my life hard.

I have requested a copy of my contract, will be going to the solicitors with it next to see what they say! All I want is for someone to sit me down and say what I am and aren't entitled too!

are you a member of the union? If not - join now. Like right now.

I am too in homecare so I know what you mean by your circumstances; zero hours etc.

I am with Unison and pay £3.50 a month. I only work weekends though so yours might be a little more expensive if you earn more than me

I don't think we have a union, it is a small company run by mother and daughter.

Do you think calling CQC may be of any use?

Unison is the union for public services, healthcare etc - give them a ring/email and speak to them about what is happening, then join the union. They attend any meetings and can find out legislation regarding your situation etc. They really help.

My brother is a union official OP, if you want to PM me a specific list of questions I can pass them on and get answers for you if that's any help?
