I've been given loads of these for christmas as they are my absolute all time favourite chocs but I'm 7 weeks pregnant haven't told anyone yet
do I have to save them until August or can I have a couple every day now and then?

Entirely up to you. I know for a fact that I'd be tucking into a couple every now and then. Maybe just don't eat the whole box in one go!

I think they only have a tiny amount of alcohol in them so will be safe. Pretty sure children are allowed to buy them (in the UK at least) so I wouldn't worry.

As above - it's a decision for you to make, but I've been eating some liquor truffles, had a glass of champagne and a small baileys on Christmas day, so I know what I'd do.

You'll get a variety of resposnses from -"I wouldn't have any alcohol at all ever", to "I have a glass of wine every Friday", you need to decide where you are on that scale. I'm somewhere in the middle.

I've been having a couple a day since christmas day but suddenly had a bit of a panic Blush I think I will tell myself that the cherries are part of my 5 a day and keep on enjoying them

Thanks everyone Grin

I have pushed the boat out this Christmas and drank!

I had a sip of Baileys on Christmas Eve (t'was delightful), a thimblefull of sherry on Christmas Day (to ensure the dinner cooked properly) and half a flute of champagne with Christmas Dinner.

In the grand scheme of things it's hardly amounted to much, but I enjoyed the taste and am not planning to have another alcoholic drink for the rest of my pregnancy . I know that there are posters who will not agree with my decision, but that's fine everyone is entitled to take their own view. Smile

Enjoy your chocolates, you have my permission not to share!

10 weeks and i had a small glass of cava xmas day with the xmas dinner. No other alcohol before for months and since. If you want one why not! Its cherry and chocolate what not to love. Enjoy them but limit yourself to one or two. Am thinking of having another small glass (and i mean small) new year eve with food. I finding giving up the came berg was harder. Than alcohol There is a limited choice for cheese for pregnant woman at xmas!!!
