swollen hands/feet?

Hi all
I'm currently 35+2 and have developed swollen fingers and wrists, and (to a lesser extent) feet. Anyone else had this at 35 weeks or earlier? I thought it didn't happen until right at the end? No other symptoms so hoping it's not pre eclampsia....

Definitely get it checked out asap.

Do get it checked out asap. I have hand swelling but they are always very cautious about any ankle or foot swelling.

I had ridiculously swollen feet and ankles that started at about 20 weeks and continued until about a week after I gave birth! Such a good look... !
Agree about getting your blood pressure checked though, I had mine checked weekly when they first swelled but I was fine- just unattractive!

I had horribly swollen ankles and feet from about 20 weeks-nothing sinister. Def get it checked out though x

Mine were terrible. So bad in fact I did go and get checked out a couple of times for pre-eclampsia (it wasn't though, it was all absolutely fine) - do go if you are worried.

Oddly, 18 months later my feet are still achey (although are normal size again!)

Is everything ok?

Hello
Back home now but they took bloods to screen for PE and will call me back in to hospital this evening if they find anything. They said there was only a trace of protein in the urine sample and my blood pressure was normal (120/70) but because blood pressure was slightly higher than on my previous visits, they'd take bloods to be sure. They should have called back by now- not sure how long I'll have to wait. They monitored the baby's heartbeat for 30 mins and all ok. Will keep you updated....

If they were hoping to call you back before now, do feel free to call them to check. They might have got distracted/forgotten, have the wrong number etc.

Just called them- all bloods normal with no sign of PE. They are waiting on the urine analysis rinsed exactly how much protein was there but said they probably wouldn't get that until tomorrow. So nothing more for me to do this evening Smile
Thanks for everyone's advice.
