First time pregnancy worries...

As first time mums I suppose we all have our worries!! The biggest worry I have is turning up to my first scan and nothing being in there! Anyone else had this worry? Haha (I am 9 weeks 4 days) also.. I have a sort of light/sharpish pain that seems to be around the clitoris area, is this normal? It literally last for like a split second at a time (I have been worrying over the smallest of things, however have had no blood, or unusual discharge, although Ive had milky white ish but Ive heard the leukorrhea or however you spell it!😄)

Don't worry! Every single woman has worries like these, especially with their first pregnancy. I'm currently 41 weeks and am still worrying now. The 12 week scan is so reassuring and after about 18 weeks I could feel little flutters, you just have to trust your body. And also, pain in the nether regions is completely normal all the way through!

Ahhhh you've experienced lightening fanny! Just wait until you get round ligament pain, heartburn, leg cramps as well as constant lightning bolts in your foof. :D Good luck with your scan!

Hey why don't you join the July 2016 antenatal thread, it's kept me sane as we all have the same worries and talk each other out of panicking.
Im 8+1 today and have the constant worry about nothing being there in the scan. I'm having a private scan next week so I can tell family before Christmas.

I've just had my 12 week scan with dc3 and still had the 'there's nothing there' worry. Each time!

I'm around the same as you probably a few days less and I am worrying constantly, I haven't even let myself be excited because I'm just so worried all the time that something will go wrong or has already. I've been told even once the baby is born you'll never stop worrying. Congratulations to you SmileFlowers

Same! I always thought miscarraiges were really painful and you bleed a lot, but then I read about silent or missed miscarraiges and that scares me to death! Just cant wait to have my mind put at rest at least for now when I have a scan

I took 3 tests in one day and another 2 days later and all of this was before my period was due! So I could be further along than I think I am! I wont surely know until my first scan, many people have been telling me I have twins as Im sort of starting to show (another reason I think Im further along) and Im only 9+5!!

I have such a bump now but seem to be pretty much symptomless.. I had my first scan on Tuesday just gone and baby was fine but I know it can happen just like that. Seem to be tired, hungry all the time and every now and again my boobs hurt.. Do I be worried?

Despite three positive tests at home, I was certain that they'd tell me I wasn't pregnant and there would be no baby at the 12-week scan. I had no pregnancy symptoms (besides missing periods of course!) so that had me worried that something wasn't right. Then after the 12-week scan I started worrying about the 20-week anatomy scan and then it was worrying about getting past the point of viability if I had the baby early...now I'm 38 weeks+2 and worried that I'll die during childbirth! There will always be something to worry about if we choose to. Heck I'm 39 and my parents still worry about me!

When I get caught up in worry mode I try to step back, breathe deeply and allow myself to enjoy where I am and take the pregnancy day by day.
