Hello all! This is my 2nd post.. Didn't have much feedback on my previous one.
I have always had regular periods between 28-31 days since the age of 10! I used to take microgynnen and my periods returned back to normal pretty much instantly..
I was taking the cerezatte pill for two months (stopped due to side effects) I had a withdrawal bleed a few days after I stopped taking it, from the first day of my withdrawal bleed I predicted my period and it was bang on cd 30 :-) so I thought that my periods have pretty much returned to normal!
I am now 20 days late and have done about 6 preg tests all coming back as a BFN! I have used first response, boots own, clear blue and still nothing! My next period should be 11 December so I am going to wait to see if I come on then, if not I will book a doctors appointment. Just to add I don't really have any symtoms of anything, I defo don't feel like I'm going to come on though, I do have a bit of nausea but I am abit tickled stomach as it is, it seems that I'm eating a lot lately more than usual (thought it could be side effects from pill) and also weeing a lot and having to get up more in the night (I'm drinking as usual)
Sorry for the long post, I would just like to hear some of your experiences please, whether it being down to the pill or pregnancy. Could I be pregnant even though it's been 20 days?
Thanks for reading I'm going out of my mind and haven't really got anyone to speak too x

It sounds like it could go either way but most likely you're not pregnant this time, I've heard there are women (rare though) who preg tests just don't work for and they have to have a blood test to confirm, but also the nausea could be anything. The frequent going for a wee is a classic early sign though, if you dont normally do that, as far as I know. I know how frustrating this is, last year I had a virus for 6 weeks that made me feel pregnant. I'd do all the things you should do\not do incase you are pregnant and try and ignore it till mid December, easier said than done though. You could always see a female GP (they seem better at this type of thing in my experience) before then though, especially if it is driving you mad, and ask for a blood test. If you are pregnant, how many weeks after conception could you be?

Agree with April. See gp for a blood test, but it could be your body settling down from stopping the pill

Hi louise,
obviously anecdotal but when I came off the pill (microgynon for around 10 years followed by Rigevidon for a year), my periods were all over the place for a good year or so. I'd have them as close as 3 weeks apart then as far as 8 weeks apart. I remember after one particularly long gap I took a pregnancy test (which was negative) and literally that same day my period appeared!!!

When I was ttc long term (took over 3 years, got there in the end!) I found that I had a skipped or delayed period once a year or so. I didn't really monitor my cycle that closely before so maybe it always happened, or maybe it was partly caused by anxiety.

I noticed that sometimes it was linked to illness and apparently you can ovulate late, or not ovulate at all some months if you're ill.

Either way, it stinks to be in limbo waiting for it to arrive or for a positive test so you have my sympathy!

Aw thank you for you're quick replies!
@april
I don't really have much of a clue when conception could have been, it is possible it could have happened the end of October/beginning of November. I remember at some point towards the end of October I had what I thought was ovulation pains (the same sort of pain I used to feel before) so I did think my periods was back to normal.

@sleepyhead
Oh I didn't know that was possible! I did suffer a lot with anxiety and it was quiet bad before and it never seemed to effect me when it came to periods! I'm a lot better now though :D
I'm glad you conceived in the end! We haven't been trying for a baby, to be honest we was having unprotected sex for years and nothing happened (My hormone levels were fine) so Due to that and other personal reasons I thought I'd never coneive, not without help from the doc anyway!

@clarabellski
that is reasuring lol! I'm absolutey terrified, none of this was planned :(

Hi OP. You are one of about 5 people who have posted an almost identical story this week. I do think the body sometimes skips a period so if you have a negative test, that's most likely what has happened. It's happened to me twice in the last 5 yrs.
