Hi all I am 6 weeks pregnant and have been getting awful smelling clear/very light cream or yellow coloured watery discharge for the past 2 days. SO SORRY TMI!! it smells toxic like ammonia maybe. I'm obviously going to try to get into doctors on Monday but has anyone had anything the same. Again sorry tmi very embarrassing

It sounds a little like bacterial vaginosis. I think it can happen because of the hormone changes - I always get thrush. Best to see the Dr.

I had horrible thrush at about 5/6 weeks pregnant and have had a few odd days of excess discharge ever since. Best to get checked out - coal tar soap cleared me up within about 3 days!

I'm not sure about dangerous but you could end up being quite ill if you wait for Monday. I would phone your out of hours tonight or tomorrow and get seen then. You wouldn't want it to spread. Don't stress though, just go and get seen sooner rather than later. It is quite common in pregnancy and generally not a problem if it is treated quickly.

Not dangerous and won't make you ill but the smell will get decidedly fishy. If you can't get to the gp go to a gum clinic, it's not technically a s sexually transmitted diseases but they will treat it and thrush and will give you same day results for it. It's easily treated if it is BV, just antibiotics.

Just call 111, sure you will get seen quickly, tell them you are pregnant

You will need a swab to confirm as my gp was reluctant to just give antibiotics out. Unfortunately my results came back as satisfactory which means I'm not allowed antibiotics but the nasty smell is still there. oh the joys of pregnancy!
(oh and GP said that it's not really a big concern in early pregnancy - just an imbalance of bacteria that are always there, but as pregnancy progresses there is a risk it can cause complications like an early labour)
