squelchy belly button - weird!

Was sat in bed last night poking pg tummy and decided to squidge belly button and it made a significant squalching sound and popped back in - then sat up straighter and it popped back out - squidged it and it squelched again - did over and over again like you do and it seems that I obviously have a build up of fluid around my belly button! I am 22 weeks pg - it is my third and my belly button has never stuck out before or squelched for that matter

Do I need to contact my midwife or do others get this? I expect you to post if you squidge by the way because I need to know whether it is just me! I don't know what kind of fluid could build up there???

You could hear the baby making clicking sounds? Was it the baby or your body.

Well - the midwife sat there for ages and my tummy definitely clicked - I wasn't moving or anything - just a click sound from my tummy - was close to full term - midwife looked amused but baffled!

So do I call the midwife about the fluid around belly button?

SSK - Just tried sqidging my belly button! My belly button "popped out" weeks ago, and there is no chance of it it popping back in the rate my bump is growing. Mine doesn't make any squelchy noises though. Maybe best to double check with the mw.

Any chance it could be an umbilical hernia? I had one with ds 5 years ago. It wasn't diagnosed as a hernia til he was about 2 yrs, and it didn't squelch (not that I remember actually trying it!. Just a suggestions anyway......
