Pregnancy

How in tune were you with the gender of your baby? (just for fun)

I'm almost 33 weeks pregnant and have been convinced since day 1 I'm having a boy. We chose not to find out and I can't wait to be told once I've given birth!
I am just interested to find out If you had a strong inclination and if so, we're you right?!

Right both times but my friend was convinced she was having a girl- she hadn't even entertained the idea it might be boy so she got a surprise.

I knew dc1 was a boy, absolutely certain about it. Same with dc2 except the other way round. I was wrong with both Blush

We've found out what we are having but went into the scan both thinking girl (bad morning sickness, craving sweet things, higher heartbeat etc) ... And came out with a photo of some very clear meat and two veg! So no, not in tune at all.

I was right all three times. In fact the midwife said girl at my 40 week appt based on heart rate and I just couldn't get my head around that because I felt so strongly it was a boy. And he was!

Ds2 everyone else was convinced it was a girl as my shape and pregnancy, and labour!, we're so different to my first but I thought boy again and I was right.

With dd I was saying she from early on. It just slipped out and felt natural. She was a girl. :-)

Yeah every time I see my midwife she tells me it's a boy heartbeat (usually between 120-145). Some people say it's a myth that you can predict it but my friend who's been told hers is a girl is always up in the 160s!
I love the guessing game!

Ds I knew was a boy. From the min I found out. This preg from start felt it's a girl, but preg not going smoothly (scan tomorrow wish me luck), so all I'm focusing on is healthy baby

I thought this baby was a boy from 7 weeks. It's been confirmed on several scans but he's not here yet.

The moment I found out I was pregnant (5 weeks) I said this is a boy I just felt something telling me,everyone said I was soft.

Now my son is nearly 3months old, not so soft am I?

I had a slight inkling I was having a boy, but I really really wanted a boy so it may just have been a hope that it was! Anyway, I didn't find out at the 20 week scan and had a little boy 9 months ago Smile

Oh and re the heart rate, DS's heart rate was 155 ish the whole pregnancy, midwife thought he was a girl! So it's not always right!

I was convinced that I was having a girl- it was twin boys!!

Wrong both times. I was so convinced DC2 was a DD I said 'are you sure' when I heard 'it's a boy'.

Report

I absolutely knew that dc2 was a boy. I carried totally differently to dc1 - a girl. Everything was different, and I just 'knew'. There was a blue babygro packed in my hospital bag, boy nappies, the lot.

I was wrong :)

I have had a feeling all along that I'm having a boy. It isn't based on any of the old wives' tales, just an unexplained feeling. I found out at my scan last week that I am right.

Knew it was a boy both times. Just knew, 100%. I have 2 girls.
I had a 50% chance of being right though Wink

I was right both times.

It's hard to explain, but I have always 'known' I would have 2 DDs, even before I had thought about starting a family.

Dreams I had whilst pregnant always involved (a) daughter(s).

I was utterly convinced my second baby was a girl. To the extent that when the midwife handed me ds2 and told me it was a boy I asked her if she was sure Blush

ALR123 · 22/11/2015 19:58

I had dreams early on I was having a girl but other than that everything else just makes me think boy! It's at the point now where I just refer to baby as 'he' all the time as does my husband. We wouldn't be at all disappointed with a girl (I'd love it!) just very shocked!
RoTo70 wishing you the best of luck with your scan tomorrow Flowers

I was convinced I was having a boy. So much so we referred to bump as he all the way through and even my parents started to as well. We decided not to find out though so when DS was delivered, first thing I said was 'I told you it was a boy'!

I was 100% sure I was having:
Dc1 girl, he was a boy
Dc2 girl, also a boy
Dc3 boy, (I knew the signs by then) she was a girl
Dc4 boy, she was a little girl
And this time with dc5 I was so certain it was a little girl that I went out and bought loads of pink. Chinese gender prediction, baking powder, ring test and also numerous Internet gender prediction things all said girl too. He is a little boy or a least the scans say so. I'm still convinced it is just a very large clitoris Wink. If not I've been 100% wrong. The thing is every time I've learnt the truth I've been completely flabbergasted that I wasn't right!

This time I think boy and girl (twins) but who knows!! I'll find out on Thursday.

I was utterly convinced that DS2 was going to be a little girl. DH kept telling me we were having a boy but I would not listen. However, the second that he was born I could not believe that I had ever thought that he would be anyone else. I felt like I had been waiting all of my life for him.
