Feeling baby move

I'm 19 weeks pregnant. So far I haven't felt a thing in regards to the baby moving. I thought I felt some flutterings last weekend but nothing since then. This is my first pregnancy so I'm not sure what to look out for apart from the usual descriptions. A pregnancy Calender lady that I follow has said that her hubby was able to feel the baby now and it's beginning to worry me. I have a fetal Doplar and can locate baby's heart beat (did this last week)

Is it normal to not feel much of anything at this point

Just realised I've posted this in the wrong place, I think I've reported it right to get MN to get it moved

Hi there,

We're moving this thread over to our Pregnancy topic now so the OP can get some advice and reassurance. Flowers

Totally normal, this is baby 6 and I didn't start feeling her until 20 weeks.
As this is your first, and there is factors like placenta placement, how baby is lying that could effect it.

I was just going to comment as your post moved, my first pregnancy I didn't feel and movement until around 19weeks, then I got solid kicks I felt several times a day every day, second pregnancy I felt movement from around 13 weeks, third pregnancy I didn't feel anything until around 22 weeks as the position of the placenta cushioned the movements.
I wouldn't worry at all and just give it a few more weeks Smile

Hiya

The RCOG have published a useful guide about your baby's movements in pregnancy: www.rcog.org.uk/globalassets/documents/patients/patient-information-leaflets/pregnancy/pi-your-babys-movements-in-pregnancy.pdf

I'm 27 weeks into my first pregnancy. I didn't get anything I definitely knew to be movements until week 21-22. My placenta is at the front which cushions them somewhat. I'm getting quite regular kicks now though. The midwife said it was normal.

I also have an anterior placenta like Edgar and am at 33 weeks. I've only recently been confident that I'm feeling the baby move. Whenever I went to the midwife or doctor for my appointments they were never concerned that I couldn't feel that much before. They were very understanding that it might make me worry but said it was completely normal.
