What does implantation cramps feel like?

It's our first month TTC and every little pain or cramp I get, has me thinking it's happened already. I'm tired of symptom spotting and just want to wait until my period is due until I find out, but am just curious as to what the cramps feel like? Are they like period pains or like normal stomach cramps? As I seem to be getting both...

I'm pregnant with dc3. I don't think I've ever had implantation cramps. I always seemed to imagine it the months I didn't fall pregnant and never felt it on the months that I did! Good luck

I had implantation bleeding for a few days (like old period blood, yuk, TMI!) but no cramps as such. The first obvious sign I was pregnant (I don't have a regular cycle) were massively sore boobs.

Thank you for your replies. When did you have the bleeding? Was it when your period was due, or before?

Mine felt like bad period pains, so much so I was convinced my period was coming and I couldn't possibly be pregnant!

I'm getting period pains and pains in my back too. I'm also getting headaches, bloating and very fatigue and few mood swings. I've read this is a symptom of implantation but very few women notice it. I never noticed anything with DS but then he wasn't planned so I don't think I would have been looking for any signs. Argh I'm driving myself insane and I promosed myself I wouldn't do this!!

Haha, the pains aren't quite that bad, but hopefully they're a good sign Grin

I had them a week after I ovulated & they were little 'burrowing' type cramps. Fairly fleeting and not severe. Am now 7 weeks Smile

With my first pregnancy I had a cyst as well so the cramping was awful and ended up me going to hospital to get checked over! Saying that, the first sign of that pregnancy was sore boobs 2 weeks before my period was even due so I knew then that I was probably preggo!

With this pregnancy I just had mild cramping like I was about to come on my period, other than that I had quite a few headaches but nothing which led me to believe I was expecting!

Good luck xx

I had implantation cramps (4th baby) from day 7, lasting about 48 hours. It felt like period pain and after that I had a few days of a splitting headache and feeling sick. I dont remember experiencing this with any of my other pregnanacies, but I am more knowledgeable now thanks to Google!
Its soo hard not to obsess over symptoms! I also promised myself not to, but have been doing so ever since. I am now 28 weeks.

Best of luck to you : )
