TTC immediately after stopping contraceptive pill ?

Anyone else trying after contraceptive pill ? If so how long did it take ? Would be nice to share with others in the same situation! :)

Took me 2 months, though we didn't actually dtd the first month!

I stopped taking my pill and was pregnant straightaway it can happen! I thought I had about 6 months, but no!

It must have taken about 2 days!

Oh great thanks!! I hope I'm the same , we have bn going at it all month so if I ovulated chances should be good! due my period now think I'm one or two days late going to test tomorrow ! How long did it take you to get a positive test ? Thanks for ur reply! Xx g

Oh it got me until I was going to be due on my period; testing before then showed nothing for me. I think I tested when I was about a week late and then I got a really strong positive. Also bought one of those clearblue digital tests that showed how many weeks you were, just for fun really!!

Great thanks again ! Hopefully I get a positive don't think I cud bare waiting a week lol boobs have been tingling today , feels like let down sensation from when I breastfed my first ! Hopefully another good sign xx

We were not ttc but I stopped my pill 8 weeks ago for medical reasons. We dtd once. I'm now 7+3

Great feedback thank u ! Do u girls mean it was 6 weeks before u got a positive test ? Or did have a normal cycle first then find out the next month ? Trying to work out whether I have a long time to wait before testing ( I'm so impatient) lol xx

I got pregnant in about 30 seconds after I stopped taking the combined pill! Good luck

I got my bfp at what should have been my 2nd period off the pill, no withdrawal bleed, normal period 4 weeks after stopping pill. 4 weeks later bpf, now 17 weeks

Two cycles for me and I think it only didn't happen on the first cycle because I had no idea how long my 'natural' cycle was since I'd been on the pill so long and we probably missed the window for dtd. Peed on some ovulation strips to find out exactly next cycle round, pregnant straight away. I'm 27 weeks now. Good luck to you!

I forgot to say, I'd been on the pill for 11 years, so I really didn't expect to fall pregnant so quickly. I remember remarking, well at least that proves it was doing something all that time!

That was fast! Congratulations ! I loved that stage in my first pregnancy it's great when u can feel the movement ! I went sick in the head not knowing if the wee one was OK in there for I could feel her lol but I'm a worry freak Xxg

It took us 7 months. For the first 4 we weren't really trying we were enjoying ourselves but for the last 3 months I was having fertility reflexology which helped me track my ovulation ect and I think that's what did it. :-)

Off in April, conceived at the end of June. Didn't find out until 7+2 in early August because a blood test done in early July was 2 days too early to pick it up!

Trijo- does that mean u released an egg later than normal ? Iv been taking tests and getting negatives , jw if after the pill an egg can be released any time ? I'm so confused with what's going on with me and can't find what I'm looking for on the Internet will probs call the GP at the end of the week as no AF X
Strange the bloodiest didn't show til later on , u must have bn bewildered as to what was going on with your body ! Did u have symptoms and know yourself u wer possibly pregnant ? Sorry lots of questions ! Congratulations btw xxg

Yep, I think I missed a period completely due to stress because I got married in late May and went on a long-haul honeymoon straight away.
