Moses Baskets - who knew it could be such a minefield! Just wanted any recommendations really - what ones have you bought and think are great (or awful). Am going to Babies R Us over the weekend (they have a cheap and cheerful one with stars on) but if it they are awful I'd like to know!

is it helpful if i say that both kids hated moses baskets and it's used only for toy storage?

Are you getting a cot attachment for your buggy? If yes then use that instead of the Moses basket.

I have a cheap on from Asda and keep it downstairs. DS2 is just 7 weeks and he's now too big as he likes to sleep in a star-jump position and he whacks himself on the sides. At night he sleeps in a standard cot. Stick to cheap and cheerful, they don't last long.

I'd go cheap and cheerful if at all. Mine hates his it tends to just be used for storage as pp has said.
During the day he sleeps in his pram or in his reclining chair.

Mine was a cheap and cheerful mothercare one which has done 5 babies including twins. My 2 were in it 5 and 3 months respectively but we're quite little babies. The rocking stand was rubbish and I used to prop it on a pillow and then dd1 was in it in the cot as she was so tiny!

Thank you - I think the £35 Babies R Us one might do the trick then!

Check charity shops and car boots, and just get a new mattress from Mothercare etc. Ours was £4 including the rocking stand! Good job since he was out of it after six bloody weeks Hmm

I have a Snuzpod instead which is gorgeous.
They are expensive though. I got mine for free Grin

We got ours from EBay (about £8 with a stand) and got a new mattress from Amazon. Ours did last us the whole 6 months.
