Which crib??

Hi all
I've bought a secondhand wooden crib, but the sleepyhead mattress I've also bought is a bit of a squeeze. I've now started looking at alternative cribs, including the NCT bednest, snuzpod and chicconextme. I don't even know where to start in comparing these three!! Has anyone else been doing crib research, and could share some thinking with me please?!
Thanks so much

I went for Snuzpod on the basis that the bassinet can be moved around, so don't need a Moses basket as well. I think it's the only one that rocks. It looks great and the resale value is really good! Use it mainly in bedside mode, it's perfect to just slide baby in and out-though our bed is higher than the highest it goes, so have had to fashion a platform of sorts for it to get it to the right height.

Looked at the sleepyhead/cocoons any/toddle pod but just ended up confused and thought they were expensive - I just use rolled up blankets as a wedge instead.

I would just use a normal cot with sleep head in. You can take side off next to your bed if you want to

My sleepyhead fits snuggly into my crib, but it doesn't squash the sleepyhead and she sleeps perfectly in it. Is it that yours is squashed in?

I've got a Chicco next to me crib after loads of amazing reviews, it's here now, I set it up and it's lovely, it can be tilted for reflux, the side goes up or down depending on if and how long you want to co sleep (I will be for the first few months) and the height is adjustable. The fact it can be folded away neatly for travelling is an added bonus.

Thank you so much all.

Dixiechick - yes it's just slightly squeezed but maybe I'm forgetting babies are pretty small!!

We can't have the cot in our room as too big, and toddler still in as a cotbed. Hoping not to buy another one of those.

My snuzpod arrived the other day and I set it up. Its beautiful.

I did a kit of research. The chicco wasn't high enough for my bed and the side couldn't be zipped up and down when it was attached to the bed.

Also, with DS, the only benefit to the God awful Moses basket was that it to be carried up and down the stairs, so the fact the snuzpods basinestte can be removed is really handy.

The base can be folded down flat so when we visit my parents, I was going to fold the base and pack everything in the basinette.

I didn't go for the bedbest because DS just wasn't a fan of bars. I also read a review that said because the snuzpods sides are fabric, when the baby gets a bit bigger, they don't wake themselves up when the hit the side with their hands or whatever.

I ordered the bedding bundle and its all organic and lovely. I'm so pleased with it. A co-sleeper is the one thing I splashed out on as I felt it would of made things so much easier if I'd of had one thef first time around.

Though I am really interested in the sleepy head..I can't really express to DH why it's really worth all the money ...I looked at the poddle pod but it's not recommended for over night and isn't SIDS approved and it seems silly to get all that organic bedding just to plonk a fleece lined mattress on top.

I had the chicco next to me and used the sleepy head in it, perfect fit!! I had the side down on the chicco when it was attached permanently to the bed :)
