Silly question about clothes for an October baby

I feel a bit silly to ask this question, as I already have two DSs. DD1 is due at the start of October. Both my DSs were born in fairly warm springtimes, so I'm trying to sort out what clothes I'll need for DD. I figure a lot of my stuff has been well used and is quite "boyish" so I'll need some new stuff anyway (and I'm quite excited about buying some girl things).

So, I'm wondering - apart from the usual long-sleeved sleepsuits, socks, hat, etc what clothes will I need? Should I get long-sleeved vests or short-sleeved ones? Should I already buy a pram suit or should I wait till DD is born (she's due 10 October)? What about winter sleeping bags? Do they need to have arms on them (her room stays around 18oC overnight in winter as it's right in the middle of the house)? What kind of things do you dress girls in during autumn/winter? Thanks!

Dd was an October baby (end of October) and we only had short sleeve vests for her. We layered lots - vest, sleep suit, cardi... We had quite a few long sleeve tshirts for her when she was in proper clothes. Wee jeans and joggers for bottom half that were nice and cosy. Primark have some gorgeous wee girl joggers in just now. I've still got lots of DD's stuff but we're expecting her wee sister at the end of the month and i was wanting a few new bits and pieces without breaking the bank and primark had some lovely stuff in.

We had a pram suit we bought beforehand for DD. I suppose it depends what's in the shops just now - think they're probably just starting to get their wintery stuff in so you might have a good selection now. Tbh though we rarely used the pram suit as it was such a faff taking it off and on when we were in the car (not supposed to have them in puffy clothes as it affects how tight you can strap them in).

We never used sleeping bags when she was really small so someone else might be able to keep you right with that. :)

Baby grows with short or long sleeve vests. I discovered snow suits late & they are marvellous; I'd say lots of snow suits & a few nice dresses you can put on over the baby gros.

I'm being daft you don't need LOTS of snow suits, but 2 is good in case of nappy explosions.
