Pregnant already? Help!

Hey guys!
I'm new to Mumsnet & new to this! Any help would be awesome!
I'm 26 & my man & me have decided to ditch the pill & try for our first!
So here's my story:
24/07/15- took last pill. I was on Cerazette & had been for approx ten years. Very rarely had any bleeding.
29/07/15- brown discharge- sorry TMI!
30/07/15- fresh red blood, hoping it was my period but had gone the next day.
10/08/15- did an ovulation test that was negative.
11/08/15- did the deed with my partner & had a very sharp pain throughout in my cervix region, that I continued to feel for the rest of the day.
For the past week or so I've been exhausted, felt varying degrees of sickness (although no vomiting) & have struggled at times to get food down, yet others been impossible to fill!
I've also been really thirsty, & craving sugary, fizzy drinks.
Is it possible I'm already pregnant or am I going baby crazy?

Please help!!

I'm no expert but it's possible you could have ovulated around CD14, which would have been a few days before you tested in which case you'd have missed it - so yes, you could be pregnant, but you won't know for sure until you take a test, which going by dates would be best early next week?

I came off cerazette at the beginning of the year and while my periods returned very quickly (and were regular for the first time in my life, after having had none the whole time I was on the pill), I don't think I had a 'proper' one until the third cycle - at which point we conceived (we were very lucky, I know).

A lot of the withdrawal symptoms can be very similar to early pg symptoms though so you can drive yourself crazy with constantly wondering. My advice would be to relax, take a test next week and if it's positive hooray, but if not just enjoy looking after yourself and trying to conceive Smile

I should add that I went COMPLETELY crazy for the first month of TTC, drove myself into a frenzy, and was totally convinced I was pg to the point of actually being smug about it. When I got a negative result (ahem - many negative results) it was a massive disappointment but after that I just relaxed and stopped worrying about it, and it happened in its own time!

Thanks for replying so quickly! All the threads I've read seem to be women with no kind of bleed for weeks so I'm going mad haha!
Such an exciting time it's easy to get a little crazy!

I have no idea if I'll get a period so was worried about when to test!

3 months in? Congratulations! How many buddles of joy do you have? X

Yeah I don't want to be on ovulation tests all the time, I want to let nature take its course & so does the other half, I only did it to try & figure out a potential cycle as it's been so long!

We haven't told our mothers were trying (if we did by tomorrow we'd have cots, clothes, nappies & LOTS of pressure lol) so I'm out for a bit of support in moms absence lol x

I'm not sure If your pregnant or not but I also conceived 3 months after coming off cerazette I never tracked ovulation or anything like that just took a "if it happens it happens approach"

Well this is more promising than some of the horror stories I've read!

I don't think I'm pregnant now, think it's all the heat of it lol x

Now I'm past the first trimester I'm enjoying it, thanks!

Definitely don't listen to horror stories online. Remember the people likely to post their experiences online are those who've had bad ones so it's not a balanced view.

You could be pregnant or it could be cerazette side effects.

I came off cerazette in May 2014 and felt pregnant for 3 months. I had sickness, bloating, tiredness, cravings, aversions to food - everything. I wasn't pregnant though it was cerazette coming out. My periods were all over the place and I didn't ovulate for 6 months.

Cerazette is quite notorious on TTC threads for the pregnancy symptoms you get coming off it. Like I said you might be pregnant but I also know how disappointed I was once I found out I wasn't.

It took a while (9 months) and some very strange 50 day cycles but I'm 30 weeks pregnant now.

Best of luck with it! X

Hey, just thought I'd post and say that I came off the pill last dec(14th to be exact) I convinced myself I was pregnant in January as felt nauseous and had sore boobs! I tested a fair few times!! All negative!! It's all I could think about ha! After the first month I calmed down and by the 15th March I was 4weeks pregnant! So very fast, i never got a positive ovulation test until I was pregnant. My cycles returned to normal after the first month and I used ovia app which really helped.. Good luck, hope you get your bfp soon Smile

Isn't the waiting murder?
I never thought I'd be excited for a period, but just to feel like a woman for one!

& from what I can work out I could have periods but no ovulation. It's very confusing! Never imagined I'd be on here lol x

It's possible for sure. I didn't even have a withdrawl bleed when I stopped the pill. I was taking loestrin, and stopped at the end of the pack on day 21 on 20th October. Not even a bit of brown discharge before finding out I was pregnant on 16th November. I now have a 16 day old DD :) good luck!

Aw congratulations!!
I'm trying not to get carried away as it's obviously common with coming off this pill- but it's hard not to think of! X
